"Wishlist" is their new buzzword. You'll see it a lot.

No they don't actually want those things. They want a "new normal". They want dictatorship over their states. They want to violate the constitution and the bill of rights.

Yes that's the reality of their wishlist, centralize power.

The pandemic models were grossly wrong

Early on Fauci said this is not some thing Americans need to be worried about.
He also said there was no evidence of human to human transmission. It’s also interesting how so many people are now wearing masks, in some places it’s mandatory, when early on Fauci said people didn’t need to be wearing masks and they wouldn’t help keep them from becoming infected.

It’s a brand-new disease, and everyone was still learning about it in those early days.

I have read that it has mutated and there are multiple strains now, some more infectious/deadly than others.

The fact that no experts have been 100% right about it so far is cause for deep concern.

But nor is it any reason to trust critics who have been harping from the sidelines but advancing no constructive ideas of their own.

It is not a brand new disease. It’s a coronavirus. Fauci and Company have been studying coronaviruses for quite some time. In fact, he was studying them here in the US, before he funded the Wuhan lab in China to study them.

Some coronaviruses do have human to human transmission. I believe there are two strains of the common cold which are a coronavirus. Fauci SHOULD have acknowledged that possibility for this one and recommended acting accordingly.

When the subject of masks was first in the news, he did not explain that homemade masks would be somewhat beneficial which would be a good thing. He should’ve emphasized at the time early on N95 masks are needed for the medical community.

He also downplayed hydroxychloroquine. He should’ve stated that it was tested in the lab against another coronavirus, SARS Cov-2, and shown to be very effective in prevention and treatment. He should’ve recommended further studies at the very beginning. He should have encouraged it to be on the table for patient/doctor decisions. It’s been used for decades for malaria, lupus,and rheumatoid arthritis quite safely.

He relied on the early pandemic modeling, and was instrumental in presenting that modeling to Trump. When the numbers in those models did not appear in reality, he backpedaled and said that models are not reliable.

The early numbers out of China indicated that it was predominantly elderly people who are dying. These statistics have been born out in country after country, and state after state. The entire country did not have to be locked down to protect or isolate this small demographic susceptible to dying from this virus. He completely inverted the strategy to to protect the vulnerable. Normally the infected are quarantined. This is not the first virus where people are contagious before or without symptoms. Think measles. Have you ever seen whole cities get quarantined because of a measles outbreak?

It’s a virus. It will keep spreading until herd immunity develops. There are only two ways to develop herd immunity: 1) natural infection; 2) artificial infection which is called immunization.
This is his field of expertise and he knows this. Social distancing and locking down huge segments of the population do nothing to develop herd immunity. And he knows that when large scale social distancing/quarantine is removed there will be a surge/spike in the infection rate. The population is back at square one: no herd immunity.
