I’m fine either with reposts being allowed or not being allowed in the “politics” stream, but I’m pissed at the hypocrisy here.

This is just the way it is around here. You at the mercy of the moderators who vary from time to time as it would be impossible to have just a single moderator due ti basic needs, such as sleep. So one moderator may allow it while another may not give a rip, while yet another may simply act out of spite or favoritism. That's all I have here.

I would actually like to know the answer to the metaphysical question of whether reposting an uncaptioned meme simply as a way of reacting in comments sections is technically a repost.

Example: “no no he’s got a point” or “Thomas had never seen such bullshit before.”

I would argue no, because there is inherent creativity in selecting a meme that is appropriate for the context of the conversation in which the meme is reposted.

But again: I’m not anti-repost necessarily depending on the stream terms. I just want a consistent standard whatever it is.
