As a constitutional lawyer he is probably the one who suggested using the arcane Logan Act to frame Gen Flynn.

I know technically he is, but what a joke! My gut says that if Hillary would have won, he would be on the Supreme Court. I think we dodged two really ugly bullets.

Yeah, we all know. Obama ran his regime like a dictator. Trump should do the same.

Damn, Chinese food is good. There's some oil or sauce that gets used, you can smell it walking around a Chinese restaurant. I need to find out what it is.

Malaysians love to eat durian, which is the worst-smelling fruit on earth. The people, the streets and the buildings reek of it.

I've heard a couple of stories from people I knew that match along them lines, but I'd rather not elaborate on account of unflatering details.

But also someone I 'used to be related to' once moved into an apt that a Chinese family who owned a restaurant lived in prior. Same thing, weird smell. But in addition they evidentally did some cooking for it there, since it took her and her roomie a week or two of hard scrubbing the kitchen - including the walls - to remove the thick layers of grease and gunk that coated it all.

Remember reading this book about a wise Chinese judge as a kid. It was either written hundreds of years ago or newer but based during the 1500's or so. Every chapter was a different case. So a poor Chinese student lives above a rich landlord/merchant. Landlord overhears poor student get asked 'how can you manage eating plain rice all the time?' by a friend. 'well, my landlord cooks wonderfully smelling food that makes it enjoyable and seemingly tasty when it wafts up from below' or whatever.

Landlord gets outraged! How dare he not pay extra for this, I'm getting robbed. He takes the student to wise judge's court and pleads his case. Wise judge listens to both sides. 'I've heard enough! Judgement to the plaintiff!' The court room is shocked! The kind wise judge has ruled the poor student stole his scents! 'Now for your payment, landlord. Student, take 5 coins in one hand and drop it into your other from a height.'

The student does. 'Thank you, you are all dismissed.' The landlord rises in anger! 'Outrage! I was not paid!' The wise judge answers 'Yes, you were. The same way student enjoyed the smell of your food, you can enjoy the sound of that money.' Everyone in court loses their shit and cheers the judge.

I think the book had a way better worded last line but I read it at 10. But it always stuck with me for some reason. Forget all the other chapters, unfortunately.

That was pretty cool.

Round the same age, I had a book of short stories centered around dogs. The only one I remember was about his farm that wanted to get rid of theirs because he was getting old.
So they got this full grown pup to replace him. There was probably a kid who didn't want the old one to go or something like that, I forget.

Anyways, things ain't looking good for the senior.

One day, after heavy rains, the creek running through the farm was all swollen, but the dogs had to cross it to get home. The young one dove in and paddled furiously against the current to get to the other side, but was getting carried down river instead, getting all exhausted.
Then the older one dove in, but instead of swimming against it, he swam WITH the current to get to the other side. Ended up a bit downriver, but got across with not much extra effort.
Then he helped the other dog also.
So the owners saw his value and kept him.

THE END.

Ok, like big overt message/lesson, but at that age, it really made and impact on lil' Vaga.
And you know what? I've never been replaced by a puppy!

Oh, and my pop's office has an apt upstairs, and the original tenants were Chinese. They were super nice. They owned a restaurant also. Had one of their workers sleeping on a cot in the hall leading to the stairs. He was awesome, used to talk to us (we were wee kids then) in Chinese and us in English to him without knowing the other's language, but we communicated more or less with tones and hands, etc. He gave me a harmonica. We found him rather fascinating.
And yes, the hall had this weird smell (from cooking upstairs, not him).
I'm rambling.

Anyways, where my father is from, they use a certain dried veggie/spice a lot that imparts an odor to everything, one that might seem overly pungent to those unfamiliar. It permeated even the luggage of relatives visiting.

Also, remember we were talking about cilantro once? Imagine a household that uses that on a daily basis. Or even Italians with garlic, etc. Basically most of our homes probably smell rather curious to those of other cutures.

No, it is WAY past time that YOU lose your patience! How many years of your life are you actually going to let them yank your chain on what Obama has and hasn't done before you notice that there is no proof for any of it?
