Alright KF, why are you trying to conflate apples and dumptrucks? Oh wait, I forgot, you're a paid snowflake shill. Wake up people, and ignore this guy. He'll go away.

It's quite ignorant of you to attempt to link people who post stupid memes about Michelle being a guy, with people posting FACTS about the virus, and the shut down, that people like you attempt to avoid.

What about your beloved Sweden? No shut down there. So, oh vaunted proponent of the Nordic model, how do their case and death rates compare to the rest of the world?

Bahahahaha you're a scream man

Well, perhaps the "facts" they post are not so factual at all, but crawl out of the same fever swamps that the birther/tranny stuff comes from.

As for how other countries are handling it: South Korea also avoided lockdowns and yet has contained it quite well! They had a "surge" of cases recently, but what they considered a "surge" was something like 30 new cases.

https://www.wionews.com/videos/covid-19-cases-surge-in-south-korea-297962

Fascinating.

Perhaps the South Korean response worked so well because they have a competent government that acted early with aggressive tracking & tracing, and a compliant, pro-social populace that is happy to abide by voluntary restrictions and isn't scientifically illiterate?

Or do you have an alternative explanation for their success story?

Are you willing to implement any of what they did or are you one of those guys who demands double-blind studies on the effectiveness of face masks before strapping one to your face?

(There's a high chance that an experiment that involved deliberately infecting people with Covid-19 only to test the effectiveness of something that we already know works would be unethical, by the way)

We've refuted this before. Why do you keep bringing it up? Oh right, admitted paid leftist troll.

Last I checked, the U.S. is still the world epicenter of the Covid-19 outbreak and South Korea and other China-adjacent places like Vietnam and Taiwan are doing just fine.

Did I miss something?

Are you ready to support tracking and tracing, voluntary distancing, and wearing face-masks like these countries did?

No that's another post that was already refuted, but that refutation also works.

The U.S. is the world epicenter; New York is the U.S. epicenter.

Hope this helps.

ooh this is a fun series, how far back do you wanna go with this?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sixteenth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revenue_Act_of_1913

I really don't hear much about Reagan or even W. Bush anymore from the Left. Except those inclined to bring up the Iraq War, which almost everyone regardless of political orientation now agrees was a disaster -- but I still catch conservatives frequently whining about the 16th Amendment and the imposition of income taxes.

I have no specific knowledge that any ancestor of mine ever owned slaves. Nor do most, I would guess. Not really the kind of thing families would boast about and pass down through family lore.

But if you do the math, we all have a few hundred or thousand great-great-great-great-great-to-the-nth-degree grandparents. How far back do you want to go?

At some point it becomes quite statistically likely that darn near every white person born in America has at least one ancestor who owned slaves.

Ditto with every black person born in America: Go back far enough, and they likely all had some ancestor who was enslaved, brought over by force from Africa.

And due to interracial relationships (and sadly, rape occurring within the confines of slavery), a good healthy chunk of both white and black folks likely have ancestors that were enslaved *and* ancestors who were slavers. Mind blown yet?

Now.

Assuming through genealogical research we all can all point to some slaver ancestor, do we or should we all feel triggered by what Lincoln did?

Nah.

The only sensible thing to do is celebrate the end of slavery if you believe in human rights, regardless of who your ancestors were.

Hope this helps
