From what’s been witnessed so far, would require catastrophic events before they jump ship. In the sense of pain and shared suffering. He did NOT say: Is there a way we can inject Lysol into the lungs, or should we inject Lysol into the lungs? He asked: Is there anyway that we can do something LIKE disinfectant, to inject into the lungs and clean them because [covid-19] does a number on them, OR can we inject light into the body to kill the virus?

I know Trump is not very coherent with his sentences oftentimes, that's actually a sign of high intelligence but I digress, the left has a HUGE problem with comprehending English and interpreting Trump's words specifically. They are looking for something to criticize him on because they have never accepted the fact that he is their president. I didn't like the nitpicky criticism with Obama, but the left is far worse.

Let me rephrase what he essentially asked: Since other people are wondering, and since I'm also interested to know, I asked you: I know that disinfectant kills the virus very rapidly outside of the body and so does sunlight, is there anyway that we can get something LIKE disinfectant (an antiseptic) inside of the body, to clean the lungs and kill the virus, or could we somehow introduce light into the body to kill the virus that way?

You guys may not like Trump's word use of "disinfectant" but he was not asking people to inject Lysol. He was asking the doctor if there was some way to get something similar to disinfectant (such as an antiseptic or medicine) inside the body to clean the lungs and kill the virus. How anybody can do mental gymnastics with the type of memes I'm seeing, is beyond my comprehension.

But he’s the President. It’s causes alarm when millions of scared Americans are looking for guidance and Trump suggests, on national t.v. turning to his medical experts, that ingesting disinfectant COULD possibly cleanse the body of covid 19. I mean come on! Did you see the expression on her face when he “suggested” injecting disinfectant as a cure? I’m sorry, it’s irresponsible of him to play doctor when he has the best team in the Country that in private, would have told him it wasn’t possible. The problem with Trump is he’s a narcissist. His ideas, his thoughts, his actions, to Trump, are infallible. He needs to showboat and prove he’s the smartest guy in the room, when sadly, that just not so .This is the reason why he gets caught with foot in his mouth and rather than except blame it quickly becomes everyone else’s fault. And there is evidence for sarcasm. The bulk of his response was talking about the light, not disinfectant. That was sort of just a so it out their response. For one thing he said something to the effect of I'm sure you're all wanting to know this question, which implies that he doesn't think everyone, especially the media is interested oh, and the other thing is he says but I'll leave it to the doctors which implies that anything he says the media is going to project it as if he's diagnosing or prescribing....

Trump was making a comparative statement so even if it wasn't sarcasm it's irrelevant, he wasn't telling people to inject Lysol. He could have misspoke. He could have meant say it was a hypothetical, but again, even in that there is evidence of being sarcastic. Don't bring up everything you THINK the president said when you can't even comprehend basic word use like the word "LIKE".

He said, "inject a disinfectant" and under a doctor. Why are you so hung up on brand names? What exactly is Lysol, if not a disinfectant?
