Nice try at re-writing history, but this is the kind of stuff Trump was saying about the virus in February (Feb. 28, at a campaign rally, to be precise).
He was still downplaying Covid-19, and equating it — or, charitably, the “panic” it inspired — to Russiagate and Ukrainegate as a Democrat/media conspiracy.
Well? Was it?
There are all kinds of reports out there now about the warning signs the Administration ignored for weeks, all of which you’ll no doubt dismiss as mainstream media lies. In addition to those reports, historians will be picking this apart for decades to come.
For now, the proof is in the pudding of our astonishingly elevated infection rates compared to other countries.
You’ll blame Democrats here and there, but when it comes to a national crisis, the buck stops with the President. As Truman put it.
But as Trump put it: “I don’t take responsibility at all.”
