Feb. 4: The White House directed the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to step up coronavirus diagnostic testing procedures.

Feb. 5: The CDC issued a public statement saying, “While we continue to believe the immediate risk of 2019nCoV exposure to the general public is low, CDC is undertaking measures to help keep that risk low.”

Feb. 18: The CDC reaffirmed that the “risk to Americans from coronavirus is low.”

Feb. 20: The administration raised travel warnings to their highest level for Japan and South Korea.

It was not until Feb. 26 that the first case of suspected local transmission in the United States was announced by the CDC. President Trump that day named Vice President Pence to lead the Coronavirus Task Force. The next day, Feb. 27, Pence named Dr. Deborah Birx to serve as the White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator.

On Feb. 29, the first death from the coronavirus was recorded in the United States. On that date, President Trump halted travel with Iran.

Just to keep it real, what were the dems doing to help? Oh nevermind, they were still calling for open borders, refugees and impeachment.

I don't mind that dems lie or that they have TDS but at least they could act like they care about this nation. Not one democrat that has done anything helpful and we are in April.

America is now the world epicenter of the Covid-19 outbreak. Literally every other country got their response together better than us.

Millions have lost or are losing their jobs because the President was playing golf, blaming Democrats/the media, and pretending like one travel ban would solve the problem when he should have been mobilizing resources

Your TDS is showing, you forget Trump was telling us to lock down in February when dems were telling us to go to Chinatown and open our borders. Just because you fail to think for yourself and let CNN and the like do your thinking for you doesn't mean Trump has not done his job. You can not name one democrat at any level of government that has offered a solution. What they have demanded is much easier, money for illegals and more refugees. Democrats hate America, that is the take away from this entire pandemic.

He was still downplaying Covid-19, and equating it — or, charitably, the “panic” it inspired — to Russiagate and Ukrainegate as a Democrat/media conspiracy.

There are all kinds of reports out there now about the warning signs the Administration ignored for weeks, all of which you’ll no doubt dismiss as mainstream media lies. In addition to those reports, historians will be picking this apart for decades to come.

For now, the proof is in the pudding of our astonishingly elevated infection rates compared to other countries.

You’ll blame Democrats here and there, but when it comes to a national crisis, the buck stops with the President. As Truman put it.

Trump makes a show of being “hard at work” at the daily press conferences where he mainly just whines at the media and embarrasses himself, never more so than last week with the UV/disinfectant comments.

To the extent our response at the national level is being handled well at all, then it’s by the adults in the room like Dr. Fauci who has advised multiple past presidents on public health matters.

Trump’s public spats with Fauci haven’t exactly inspired confidence, though.
