It would be more without the quarentine tho

I agree with you, because that's what common sense would tell us.

But I'm not sure the data supports that. If it's true, why do many states without the shelter in place orders (aka, self quarantine) have infection and death rates lower than other states that do?

If they had better testing and real numbers not made up numbers there are MILLIONS more that have had it and were asymptomatic. Or had it and never reported it like me. I had it and got over it quickly. Nothing major. Some fever sore, slept a lot. Nyquil. All good. It is over hyped and I am not 100% sure why. To crash world markets? Maybe. I think we have massive reactions without realizing the consequences. There is no scientific evidence that Quarantine has had ANY effect. Not a single bit of evidence to suggest that nature will eventually take its course. We cannot punch air.

While that's correct, the climate, population and other variations can affect numbers.

Let's see...

Population density?
Access to healthcare?
Levels of poverty/affluence?

It is simple math. Number of infected number of deaths number of population in that area. The rest you just said is made up nonsense and has no bearing on science. Nothing. You can make shit up but the virus still travels through air and bullshit has not stopped it yet. It is not even worse than the flu at this point. BUT FLEE RUN FOR YOUR LIVES, just don't go outside......

Oh Yah, somebody I don't really know at all has said they have had it. Personally I think I had last year before it was even defined as something new. Maybe if I can get antibody test I will know.

I have asked at least 15 people outside my friends and family if they, their family, workmates or family overseas have had the virus and everyone has said no not that they were aware of. I'm pretty sure the same question asked of that many people with the word cancer inserted would have produced at least one positive answer.

I had it and I was pretty sore and coughed a lot. Had a bit of a fever not extremely high but it was 4 days at the most. Standard flu stuff except I slept more. Took a ton of nyquil and felt great on day 5. If that is all it is way, way over hyped. I think there are different severity of the virus. Some people might get a higher concentration of the virus or whatever but it could and SHOULD be different based on individual makeups. But it was not bad for me at all. And yes it was confirmed that is was the rona. A lot of hullaballoo and I got way sicker from the flu 2 years ago really.

Good you're feeling clear and thanks for running through your story.
I think similar experiences will be reported for the otherwise healthy individual given your experience matches the few online articles about other peoples time with Rona.

Wow.. 857,000 cases of Coronavirus. Sounds pretty contagious... How contagious is abortion?

:P

Ask your liberal friends how many they have killed. You tell us.
1 up, 4y
The ones who have had an abortion didn't catch it from anyone else, so it's kind of not really contagious at all.

Also your death rate of 5.5% might be the highest I've ever seen anyone here claim.. it's definitely the highest I've ever seen from someone who was attempting to downplay the situation.

oh no the abortion red herring in an attempt to say "it's not that bad". typical asshat.

yes, i know corona ain't an ebola, but it's still new, and better to keep hospital attendances within their threshold while scientists develop a cure. we can't depend on new hospitals being built quickly because our healthcare system is shit and china has lots of land to build hospitals on (by that, I mean state-owned land that they can grab from peoples' houses because communism). clutching on the simple "lOwEr MoRtAlItY rAtE tHaN tHe FlU" isn't an argument against the shutdown.

Truth hurts but your triggered response will not save you from air.

"Have you had it yet? If not you are scared of something you have not had. I had it. It was not bad at all."

lmao i love that i've entered this argument without requiring the "yOu'Re ScArEd" argument. like i said, corona ain't an ebola, but getting it isn't the problem. what is the problem is the hospital rising attendances that we can't afford.

"Truth hurts but your triggered response will not save you from air"

"truth hurts" and "triggered". two of the most important ingredients in building the perfect asshole who can't debate for a dime but will still try to one-up his opponent.
