If you believe the government was protecting us against Mexicans and not using them as a scapegoat, then I have to say you're a hypocrite. But perhaps you agree with me that immigrants, whether illegal or not are irrelevant. As long as they are not committing a serious crime, I have no issue with them crossing the border. Which, crossing the border in and of itself should not be a crime. After all, do we not want Mexican tourists? And does Mexico itself not enjoy our tourism?

Still, bringing up Nazi Germany is interesting but misses my point entirely. All the people have to do is wear masks, maintain social distancing, and cut down on non-essential reasons to leave their homes and living quarters for a short period of time. Challenging that will only serve to extend the parameters if not lead to legal ramifications if the public cannot take responsibility in curving the virus on their own.

You could take a deep breath and think. Then, try to put into words why you feel you shouldn't do the things the government want you to do. However, what you feel is ultimately irrelevant. So, you will need to justify your opinions with facts. A dangerous way of thinking is to justify emotional responses through a factual focal lense. Instead, what you should do is observe the facts and use them to form an opinion. You can certainly be unhappy with the facts but at least you're one step away from contributing a potentially constructive argument.

Another thing, if you wish people to respect your opinion; then maybe don't antagonize optional opinions. Especially ones that have no rational merit.
