To be fair he’s not to blame for the virus. He’s to blame for how we responded (or didn’t) to it.

Think it's more likely he's trying to hold the Chinese government to account since they suppressed the news of the virus and cracked down on doctors that wanted to warn the world. Then the Chicoms claimed the US military unleashed it on the world and threatened to withhold needed medical supplies. Then demanded Trump not call it that. After all that, you think Trump is going to comply with their wishes to downplay THEIR role in this? I wouldn't either.

The Chinese government know he either complies and their mistakes get forgotten as times get worse or he doesn't and get attacked by the sjws and democrat establishment. They know they'll stick up for a foreign communist government over their own president.

@SydneyB - you are rational and logical in a way that Trump never is. Had Trump pointed out that the Chinese covered-up the problem at first - they did, and we should be aware of that it would be okay. The travel ban on China was a good move, in fact he should have done it earlier. The airlines had moved to enact this to some degree BEFORE Trump said it. Trump was still not taking the virus seriously after the travel ban, he was still calling it a Democratic hoax, and so on. In light of the fact that we now know he was receiving Intelligence reports warning of the dangers, this is very irresponsible.

Trump could have talked about the problems caused by the Chinese government in a serious manner, but simply calling it the "Chinese virus", is just juvenile.

I was pleased to see yesterday at the daily briefing that Trump stopped calling it the "Chinese virus", according to himself because some Chinese-Americans were being attracted because of their race. This illustrates though why it was a problem to do so in the first place.

i think it's mainly to do with how thousands of people die because of his mistakes so far. people don't like that.

So their deaths was all on him, with all the news that was out there, he was the only one that could have prevented it...see this is my problem with a lot of people on the left. Like I said, I am no fan of his, but to many times they put the blame on others instead of where it really belongs.

All I said was that he was responsible. It comes with the job, so you have to do a good job. I didn't say it was all on him, but he did apply for the job of commander-in-chief. You get the glory or the blame. If he doesn't like it, well a Lotta people won't miss him when he's out.

It's because every time they think Trump is done (like Mueller/impeachment) he slips out and laughs. NOW, because a foreign born virus is causing a world wide emergency, killing people and hurting the economy, they pounce even harder because to them, this death and economic disaster is a WIN they can use against Trump.

I get if someone has disagreements with his policies or doesn't like his personality. But sometimes in emergency, people should be reasonable and come together. And meet at at least fair. Hell, even Omar praised Trump. I don't see any lefties memeing about Biden and others calling Trump xenophobic and racist when he closed travel on Jan 31 and criticising that.

I agree with this. Trump is just one guy. Kinda unfair to blame him for all of this ordeal.
