I imagine this meme refers to the first draft which Pelosi helped write and which had her full stamp of approval. It can be found at the (dot)Gov website, where anyone can read it (and which I did). In that draft, there are items specifically addressing poor women and children, including medical aid and medical procedures for "pregnancy related" issues. Now, if you research the bill numbers which correspond to these measures Pelosi wanted, we find that abortion is cited as a "pregnancy related" medical procedure. Many people -innocently- would not think to research such back-information, because most of us do not consider abortion a part of pregnancy (as abortion naturally cancels out pregnancy). We have to give Pelosi credit here; she was being crafty as hell.

Now that actually does make more since why people would be making that claim (though I'm sure most people are just regurgitating what they heard rather than looking into it themselves so again thank you for not doing that). It honestly wouldn't surprise me if both sides were trying to sneak their own agenda into the wording. Though even then it shouldn't have been that hard of a fix if they were able to pass an amendment to correct the other issue.

Sure I'll remind you since you don't seem to know: Democrats control the house, the bill was written by a bipartisan commit of both democrats and republicans, the anti-abortion amendment was written and introduced by republicans, and republicans delayed the passing of the bill to get the amendment passed. There now feel free to ask me again 5 minutes when your conservative lengthened memory forgets everything it knows and tries to re-write history in it's favor.
