Who knows. I never tinkered with the browser settings. If it is a browser setting then the fix is easy for the OP.

Eh, spell checking is relevant to every single website and app in the world that allows text input, so spell checkers are usually implemented by your operating system. iOS / Android / Mac / Windows / Web Browsers all have spell checking either enabled by default or available to turn on in settings/addons.
