I find it pretty rich when they criticize Trump for not doing enough, then throw a fit when he quarantines a cruise ship with cases of the virus onboard. But yeah, it's not nearly as big a deal as everyone makes it out to be. The elderly need to be careful and people need to be careful not to spread it to them but the average american has nothing to worry about.

You misunderstood. The meme above has a wrong death toll. I know that it's the sick and elderly who are most at risk.

COVID-19 has the potential to spread much faster and wider than flu strains. Thus it can strain the system and cause vastly higher death count.

I live in Washington state, and it might reach Italy levels soon
