It's not health insurance. It's a price control for people on fixed incomes (retirees), and they all have to have supplemental insurance to cover what medicare does not ( and medicare typically leaves a lot to "patient responsibility"). This is a campaign promise, at best.

How much does healthcare cost now?

I have employer healthcare. For a family of three I pay $760 per month, with all kinds deductibles and copays. I'm told that when I retire I can keep my coverage but have to pay the full cost, which is about $1500-$1800 a month. That's more than my damn mortgage.

I know someone who works for Amazon, and has individual coverage. It costs her $30 a month. This shit is crooked as f. I don't trust Sanders either.

Well, that's kind of my point. Employer health care is supposed to be so great, but it depends who your employer is. The amount I pay is roughly median, maybe a little better from what I understand. But it is still way too much. I will eventually have to not have healthcare.

Maybe by that time we'll all be dead communists so you won't have to worry about healthcare.

I dunno man, I had two open heart surgeries and a pacemaker, never payed a dime. And I travelled to the Mayo in Rochester Mn in '86 for one of those surgeries, cuz it was a rare disease, still never payed a dime.

America that could perform it, fast forward 30 yrs later, one of the doctors in that surgery was a Canadian and brought his skills back, when they gave me the option where I wanted to get my surgery, the original doc was in Toronto, setting to retire, Winnipegs doc wasn't as skilled so I opted for Edmonton, newest facility the Mazankowski Clinic in 2010 and one of the best Cardio Thorasic surgeons in Canada. It wasn't cuz Canada sucks, it's cuz I was born with a rare disease.
