Only the biggest war mongering neocons like Ben Shapiro liked Boltard.

I can't remember seeing a pro bolton meme on this site. If Trump gets screwed over now by bolton, he'll deserve it for giving power back to that maniac.

Ben Shapiro confuses me sometimes. While I agree with his stance on things like abortion and pro 2nd amendment and the whole transgender thing, I disagree with him on things like war and the overall Trump issues. You should have heard him talking about the whole Bolton thing. Says Trump is in danger now, just as the rest of the mainstream media is saying.

I can't stand Sean Hannity, because he annoys the crap out of me, but he definitely is a huge Trump supporter and isn't a war mongering neo con.
2 ups, 5y
He was a never Trumper from the start. He wanted Trump to lose so the GOP wouldn't be destroyed, thereby giving 2 or possibly 3 scotus picks to the dems. He is good on the issues you listed tho.

The incidents with Syria and Iran showed Hannity actually is a warmongering neocon. Opened my eyes.

The dirty little secret of Blasey-Ford’s testimony is that it was way more cogent and believable than Kavanaugh’s waterworks and woe-is-me routine

Yes, it was 30 years ago, and I don’t know if it should have sunk his nomination, but damn is it plausible to believe a couple of buzzed high school kids would do something like that in an upstairs bedroom.

But hey, at least they both testified in front of the Senate. This time, we probably won’t even get that.

And yeah, Trump’s bullshit call was about 6 months ago. So no relying on that “passage of time fades memories” bullcrap

She wishes that anyone would feel her up today.

That was one of the biggest cases of political trickery I've ever seen.

Until Trump's next SCOTUS pick. Hope he picks a female so the go to move will be negated. Wonder what the dem excuse will be for interfering with that will be. Maybe she misgendered someone 10 years ago?

Some liberal activist waits 30 years before accusing someone who just got nominated by a Republican president? Sure. By the end, she had no credibility.

Waterworks? Guess you've never been unfairly accused of sexual assault. Of course, had he been dispassionate, you'd call him cold and calculating.

"Waterworks? Guess you've never been unfairly accused of sexual assault. Of course, had he been dispassionate, you'd call him cold and calculating."

They act as though we're not allowed to get emotional when being accused of a horrific crime. We're supposed to say, "okay, I see your point. I did it. I am guilty of all you accuse me of and I will do my appropriate time in prison. You get to pick the sentence since I'm obviously a horrible human being for the crimes you accused me of doing."

I thought he was pretty calm, all things considered. If someone wanted to smear me as a sexual assaulter, putting my wife and children through that, getting harassed in restaurants etc, I'd be spitting mad.

It's surprising to hear that from Kylie, as he's a defense lawyer or was.

I’ve defended clients and companies accused of sexual harassment and/or gender discrimination, and if defense witnesses started acting like that on the stand I would take a break, talk to my client and plaintiff’s counsel and settle the go***mn case

A little bit of heatedness is to be expected with accusations this seriousness but I did not find Kavanaugh to be a credible witness at all. I could barely watch him

But he did what he needed to do, I guess

I reserved my judgment until seeing the testimony. And after seeing it? No contest — I think he did it.

Now, should an indiscretion like that have affected his chances 30 years down the road? Still not entirely sure on that one. I think it’s pretty clear that in adulthood Kavanaugh turned out to be an okay dude.

That said: all the GOP disinformation tactics and victim and Democrat-blaming and such, and total refusal to even consider another nominee for the good of the country, pushed me over the edge.

And the GOP’s might-makes-right attitude on Kavanaugh prefigured this joke of an impeachment trial in a lot of ways.

Nah. Just more assumptions and projections from you. Just because you’re a partisan hack eager to search for any possible excuse to acquit this President doesn’t mean I am.

Admittedly, events of the past year have pushed me more in the direction of the Democrats than I’ve ever been before in my life. I’ve been an independent prior to this, but at this point I’m comfortable identifying as a Democrat.

Interesting trivia: my parents were of different parties so I didn’t get “indoctrinated” growing up one way or the other.
3 ups, 5y
Right, he didn't stand down like a bitch, so you went over the edge.

Sorry those bully tactics aren't working anymore. And it's actually doing damage to women who were assaulted.

I couldn’t watch him because watching a nominee to the highest court in our land whinge and cry and pity himself on-screen a la Glenn Beck was unbecoming

I graduated high school and even college without assaulting anybody, so I do in fact have the life experience to have possibly been in a situation like that, but I wasn’t

Come back to me when you get nominated to the highest court in our land and then you can impart your wisdom. You don’t even have to be a lawyer to be on SCOTUS! Did you know that? That’s something I learned during this presidency, because apparently there was an outside chance of it actually happening. What interesting times we live in

Not any lies that could be proven as perjury beyond a reasonable doubt, probably, because it’s been so long

But: I believe Ford’s testimony, which means I believe K. lied.

And: if you believe K.’s testimony, then you must believe Ford lied.

Ford claimed that she couldn't fly because of PTSD, yet she did multiple times. Also something about never going into a room without 2 exits, yet her bedroom had a sealed window or something.

Here, since you'll be pedantic otherwise. https://www.realclearinvestigations.com/articles/2018/10/02/building_documents_undermine_fords_exit_door_account.html

Two lies Ford made. You can't point to one Kavanaugh made. Keep believing the lying liberal activist and how the accused should prove their innocence.

"And yeah, Trump’s bullshit call was about 6 months ago. So no relying on that “passage of time fades memories” bullcrap"

Again, no evidence. Just more bullshit being brought up without any evidence of anything they're claiming. They know he isn't getting impeached by the Senate and they're too stupid to realize this nonsense is hurting their chances of winning the White House. But hey, here's to 5 more years of bullshit.

Take the high road, come clean with all the evidence now, let the GOP Senate acquit (2/3 needed to remove), and you can walk away from this thing and even find a way to pin it back on the Dems as happened to the GOP with the 1998 Clinton impeachment.

Wave this impeachment through as the evidence currently stands, and you’re lighting a fuse under your party that could blow up on you in the next few months, next year, or in 5 years from now

Think impeachment will be the end of this story? Nah.

The truth has a way of coming out eventually, and you’re insane if you think investigative reporters and historians won’t be crawling all over this administration for decades to come.

What evidence? You people keep talking about evidence of crimes committed. There is none. Making shit up isn't evidence.

"Think impeachment will be the end of this story? Nah."

Of course it won't stop. Democrats won't stop making fools of themselves. Impeachment is just the beginning of their continuous whining about the results of the past election and them trying to hide their own corruption. Cornered dogs aren't gracious losers.

"The truth has a way of coming out eventually, and you’re insane if you think investigative reporters and historians won’t be crawling all over this administration for decades to come."

You talk a big game, but if this was really the nothingburger that the GOP’s for-public-consumption-only propaganda has made it out to be, then I think McConnell would have not have gone this far out of his way to exclude any and all new evidence

I often wonder how history will judge this time. A time where liberals decided Trump didn't meet their high moral standards, while trying to put Bill back in the Whitehouse, and decided to do every last thing they could to discredit and delegitamize a fairly elected president, while crying over a few fb posts brought to them by the globalization they push so hard, before he had a chance to do anything. Colbert is literally an attack arm of the DNC.

But I'm sure it'll be memoryholed bigly.
0 ups, 5y,

Lol just playin’ with the concuck thing

But yeah, you bet all that FOX News propaganda and spin is going to be “memoryholed” as you put it because it’s all bullshit

The Mueller probe and the indictments and convictions that it generated which were opposed, downplayed, or simply forgotten by right-wing media are going to be recognized as the watershed moment they were

The Ukraine call will look like Presidential election interference plain and simple

And when it comes to this impeachment, investigative reporters and historians looking back on it in a few months, years, or decades will be looking mainly at the record, or lack thereof. And if there isn’t one, they’ll want to know why

(Not just the impeachment — Who knows what’s lurking in Trump’s yet-to-be-released tax returns alone)

When Trump inevitably gets acquitted and — quite possibly! — re-elected, then you bet we’ll be going down these rabbit holes again and again because sticking his nose in the mud over and over again is just what he does

And the moment Democrats simply give up and shrug their shoulders at Presidential misconduct the way Republicans do, and urge others to do, will be the moment we’ve lost our country for good
0 ups, 5y
Nicely memed.

Yes, president investigated by corrupt FBI, who altered Carter Page's email to lie to the FISA court, finds underlings with 10 year old financial fraud and perjury. Just totally destroyed Orange Man.

Ukraine call didn't get a public declaration or investigation and they got their money anyway. Zelensky didn't even know about the freeze until reading it in Politico. Trump was partially elected on draining the swamp. Biden IS the swamp. How many family members have profited off Joe? His brother got 1.5 billion from the government despite having no experience. Sound familiar?

What exactly do you think you'll find with those returns? Maddow already showed us he paid a higher % than Bernie and Barack in whatever year that was. btw there's no rule that says he has to release them.

How many times must you fail at nailing Trump before you figure out that maybe YOU'RE wrong? You just think Trump doesn't have the right to be president. For all the screeching since nov 2016 and calls of doom, Trump's doing alright. Could he be better? Sure. Can you point to a fast and furious type scandal? Invading another country under false pretenses? Sexual misconduct in the west wing? 'Read my lips'? Iran contra?

And Comey leaking and perjuring himself and getting away with it. And an unverified salacious foreign dossier filled with bs, that was used to spy on a presidential campaign. Yeah, history will remember. History will remember John Brennan, the lying stooge.

You seriously need to look up some material on the Obama years. Even Sherpas living on the remotest pockets of the Himalayas know what he went through. Trump would never have gotten elected if it wasn't for what Obama went through.

idk, he got away with fast and furious, IRSgate, Benghazi, his AG was declared in contempt of court for withholding documents. Yet he wasn't impeached. He withheld military aid to Egypt and others. Sounds like a double standard to me.

Now when it came to politics, I won't defend the republicans stonewalling, but the media deep throated Obama for 8 years. Remember that brutal and funny SNL sketch about Obama? Me neither. Obama give Lawrence O'Donnell a shiver up his leg.
1 up, 5y,

He didn't get away with anything, or perhaps you should contact Moscow Mitch about impeaching him now since they were too busy blocking his every move to realize they might as well impeach him.
All that nothinghamberder had been investigated multiple times, and we both know nothing wrong was found because they couldn't find nothing wrong otherwise they would have found it because math.

SNL didn't have TWO different fellas that did Obama, one replacing the other? Really?
Wait, what, they couldn't lampoon Me Spock as easily as they could Capt Twitter Tears? Golly gee, wonder why.
It's like Tina Fey said about Sarah Palin, you don't have to write any material, just read what she actually had said.

Just like Dana Carvey doing GHW Bush was at par with GHW BUSH, not doddering Ronny or bumbling W Bush or the senile imbecile who gets up at 3am to Tweeter dozens of idiotic Tweeterz per night. What do you want, an SNL skit with some Tea Party signs saying that ni**er should go back to Kenya with Obama depicted as a chimp and then they lynch him?
4 ups, 5y,
1 reply
We'll have to agree to disagree on that.

I never said no one played him but he never got ridiculed like all the others, or should I say republicans. SNL has been biased ever since Chase would stumble in his monologs as Gerald Ford. Even Clinton got a pretty easy ride. Except for his diet attempts, if you remember that Phil Hartman sketch in the fast fast joint. I don't remember Reagan being satirized but SNL sucked most of those years.

That Palin 'quote' about seeing Russia from her house was Fey writing material.

No, that's not what I want. It'd just be nice to see both sides open to criticism. They are free to do as they wish but i still get ill thinking about McKinnon as Hillary playing Hallelujah on the piano.
3 ups, 5y
Aww, poor Gerald 'Let's Unplug NYC' Ford got mocked by Chase stumbling? Let me go find Boehner so I can wipe a tear.

Clinton didn't get an easy ride, like I said the other day the "Wazzup" and repeat 90s SNL sucked way bad. They tried mocking Clinton, it's just that the show couldn't mock David Hasselhoff taking a crap if they had a camara filming from under his butt back then. Some of the cast was funny, but the show was in a medically induced coma.

Fey did Palin several times, beyond that one line.

There ain't any sides, they do what they can to get a laugh. Obama is about as funny as a bowl of porridge sitting in the fridge for 5 days. Trump is a firehose on full blast of tarded Tweeterz. Don't snuff the messenger on that one.

Here's the thing, CNN and SNL ain't the only tv in town. Sheesh, were you even alive when Ford was around? Was the 6:30 news TOO cruel while they reported news news about him (not like today's endless editorials) when it happened for 1 whole minute?

I've been saying for years that comedians mocking him was the only thing that made the Clinton years somewhat bearable. (Hell, even I do a nifty impression).
Anyways, if you want to see what made my Thursday nights the best day of the week back then, look up Conan's 'via satellite interviews with Clinton.' Funniest comedy about any President ever was that.

Here it is again, in its nearly 700-page glory, with dissenting views included in the interests of fairness and balance

Evidence? There’s more enough crap in that report to justify continued investigation and the case for impeachment is a lot more cogent than the Republicans’ “rebuttal” report
