YOU are the one choosing to be here. And by here I am referring to The_Think_Tank and the ImgFlip site. Each have their rules, if you don't like them, go somewhere else that is more in line with your expectations.
Start with reading the terms, then ask yourself if you can work within those terms. If the answer is NO, then this place is not made you you and you will never have your expectations met here. That means you should go somewhere else.

KylieFan, speaking as a woman who formerly posed for men's magazine, I think this is a no-brainer. If the underlying "rules" say no nudity, you better cover up the titties and jam. If the rules of a particular stream requires no provocative images, stick with photos you wouldn't be embarrassed seeing your own mother pose for. Pretty simple actually. IIMGFLIP is not a provincial hell hole where people get stoned for showing bare ankles.

I think this can depend for ImgFlip. There are streams specifically made for 'showing too much skin' on ImgFlip. Yet, these pictures of people, the people probably aren't aware that their pictures like this is on a site, which I find pretty sick, but yet, then people shouldn't take pictures like that. Yet, I don't think people should be afraid to not show their faces unless for private reasons, which should be respected. I think it is up to the person, but they should take everything into consideration about what they are doing since there are perverts and all, and you don't know who sees it.

I think if a woman poses for a sexy photo, then there is a good chance she intends for her image to be shared. You can tell when a woman is posing — easiest dead-giveaway is when she is looking right at the camera.

This is particularly true when said woman is a celebrity whose career is all about being in the public eye. The vast majority of the photos I repost fall in this category.

In every case, I got these photos off the internet rather than taking them myself. So these images are all already out there. Just now on a different site as well.

Women have sex drives too, and derive enjoyment and sometimes income from sharing photos of their bodies. Participating in that is not “exploitation” as long as it’s voluntary.

3 ups, 4y
Well, I think you probably know the answer to this. The are different standards of dress and appropriate exposure of the body depending on where you go in the real world, like a bathing suit is totally appropriate on a beach but show up in court or in a job interview in one (unless you're trying out for modeling or lifeguard) chances are you'd be told to get changed or get out. I see the streams here as similar. Your sex focused scantily clad women related posts should stay in the related streams. The Tank was meant to be a change from the gamut of sex streams that already exist to encourage people to ask questions and get answers on various topics from the serious to the mundane ( granted its been a little too mundane lately for my taste) so I'm wondering why you see it as a problem that your bikini images aren't fully embraced in all of imgflip when they're pretty irrelevant in some cases. (you tend to overdue the Kylie memes in pretty much every stream, for pretty much every comment) its not misogynistic or body shaming any more than it would be to have different standards in a workplace than at home. Not that we're demanding the other extreme (only fully clothed nuns allowed) but no one but you has had a problem with this in the 13 months I've been here. Thanks for posting.

161 followers and more joining daily.  Dozens of submissions by various users on a weekly basis. No one except you has a problem with the stream rules.  I've only had to dissaprove 2 based on having provocative images but mostly because there was no point to them,  like no question that others could contribute to. Such as this one.  And the user was fine with it, moved on and posted to fun (and made front page too:)  imgflip.com/i/39fpg0

Only you seem to take personal offense at the way this stream is run and whine about it on here and elsewhere imgflip.com/i/3joxbd going so far as basically accusing everyone here of mysogony and sex shaming.  So let me ask you.  Why do you keep hanging around if you are so offended by this stream? You're welcome to stay but as any visitor to someone's home would be expected to respect the wishes of the people dwelling there why not just enjoy the comradare and discussions without having to insert sex and kylie pix into every interlude on imgflip. This is supposed to be a fun meme site. But you seem to just see it as a platform for your SJW, "I'm going to change the world because I'm right and everyone else is wrong" attitude.  Go where you like but don't expect everyone to change according to your standards.  My last comment here.

Ok correction before you jump on me. I know not every comment and meme of yours is about sex and kylie (maybe only 90% ;) you do plenty of debating in politics but you never post to fun which is basically the whole point of imgflip. So maybe you need to relax a little and find some humor in life and post about it. Bet you'll actually enjoy it.
1 up, 4y
Why do I almost never post to ‘fun’?

Well, honestly... because I’m just not that fun of a person. :(

And I’m not nearly as witty, clever, or adept at graphic design as some of the folks who post amazing hilarious memes over there. Like Ememeon and ProductiveDuck: two of the greatest memers ever!

I am basically the ImgFlip equivalent of C-SPAN. And PornHub. Those are my only two settings.

Ooh, this will be a fun one to reply to!

"161 followers and more joining daily. Dozens of submissions by various users on a weekly basis."
--I'm happy for you and the other stream MODs' success in building one of the largest streams on ImgFlip and have complimented it before. Myself? I've submitted probably half a dozen or so original memes to this stream at this point.

"No one except you has a problem with the stream rules."
--But maybe they do, and they're just not here or as outspoken as I am!

"Only you seem to take personal offense at the way this stream is run and whine about it on here and elsewhere" imgflip.com/i/3joxbd
--Haha you linked to my tongue-in-cheek meme of Kylie in her underwear? But what if the kids see it and get scarred for life?

"Why do you keep hanging around if you are so offended by this stream?"
--Because I do like to stop by occasionally. It's a fun place dedicated to back-and-forth. But yes, I stand by my view that a lot of the content here is just not that interesting to me, and I do think that a rule policing female dress is misguided.

"This is supposed to be a fun meme site."
--I agree. have tons of fun!

"insert sex and kylie pix into every interlude on imgflip."
--I'm really not all that sexual in my political reaction memes.
--And Kylie? Why is it really so weird to repost her image and not, say, Putin, Don Draper, Goodfellas Hilarious, and others? I could use these overused templates, and indeed sometimes I do, but my goal is to keep things fresh and interesting with pics I like.

"But you seem to just see it as a platform for your SJW, 'I'm going to change the world because I'm right and everyone else is wrong' attitude. Go where you like but don't expect everyone to change according to your standards."
--And right-wingers on the 'politics' stream aren't doing just that: only from a conservative perspective?
--lol @ "SJW." If what I am doing is SJW-ism, then I will own that term, I guess -- but I'm not nearly as strident about anything as a true-blue Leftist and I don't really go around berating people unless they deserve it or insulting people unless provoked. I think I'm pretty chill honestly but everyone has their limits.
--I guess this site is so conservative that even a moderate Democrat like myself (who happens to be relatively outspoken and prolific) comes across as an AOC-like scorched earth figure.
--I don't expect everyone to change. I just want them to think. Same as you and everyone else here.

To caption this question, I chose an image of a woman clad in a full face-covering burqa, because the ideas represented in an image such as this are apparently less offensive to The_Think_Tank’s editorial viewpoint than pictures of girls in bikinis

Girls in bikinis: These inherently evil, scantily-clad sirens who are only good for leading men astray may be found hanging out at your local neighborhood pool or even on some of the other streams

But to find an upstanding woman dressed in respectable garb like this, you would have to travel much further afield than your local pool, and in some cases into a literal war zone

This is an unfortunate byproduct of the degeneracy of 21st-century America and its sex-fueled culture

Anyway, I am trying to figure out how to post images of women on ImgFlip without being accused of “exploiting” them, so I’m just wondering how much skin is too much for the delicate sensibilities that exist on this site

But obviously, this is a legit amount of skin, so to be on the safe side of things maybe I will just roll with the burqa from now on

But why the obsession with half naked girls anyway? I think a woman who believes in her own dignity, worth and natural beauty doesn't feel a need to display all God gave her for the world to see. There is a balance, on one extreme where you like to dwell is women who feel their bodies are the only way attract a man and they have to flaunt it or be overlooked. On the other extreme alluded to in your OP is that women should not show any skin for fear of causing scandal. What's wrong with a little middle ground. Women can dress in a way that accentuates their beauty in a way that is not always provocative. I love the old movies with Grace Kelly, Maureen O'Hara, Loretta Young, they always seemed to be so dignified and beautiful in their simple styles. I see our bodies as similar to a wrapped gift. What husband wants a present that's been half opened or the paper ripped off entirely by other men? It goes the same for men. I'm not sure what your wife feels about your online activity, if she's even aware of it but it concerns me that you devote so much time and energy on posting about other women you'd like to bang. It doesn't seem respectful of her dignity as a woman and your wife who should be your one and only love.

I share and celebrate classy, fully-clothed depictions like these all the time.

Kylie’s an absolute class act in any outfit she chooses to wear. Particularly in relation to other pop stars such as Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, Madonna, Ariana Grande, Katie Perry, etc. who have all landed in their fair share of controversy throughout the years for various reasons. And is part of why I’m not as drawn to them, although they’ve posed for sexy pics too and many think they’re cute too.

The worst I’ve ever seen Kylie get in trouble for was only just recently with an awkwardly-timed photo shoot in Australia to promote tourism that coincided with that country’s worst bushfires in recorded history.

Minogue and her family donated like half a million bucks to wildfire relief charities after that.

30+ years at the top of the pop music business is a remarkable achievement for anybody, especially a woman, since they encounter more issues with being taken seriously as artists and are at risk of being discarded by record labels when their youth fades.

I submit that Kylie is a positive role model for any young and impressionable girl, especially in comparison with other mean-spirited behavior modeled on this site.

Final point of order: I love how people on this site think it’s their business to speculate and wax negative about my own life and relationship with my wife, as if that weren’t about 100x more offensive than my habit of merely reposting beautiful images of women that they modeled for with the intention of being shared.

I do not need to dignify any of that with a response and I will not this time either, even though your response was more dignified than a lot of the shit in the same wheelhouse that I encountered from trolls last night which inspired me to begin posting burqas because it is apparently out of line to share pictures of women looking beautiful.

Nobody, but there is still a shocking amount of ignorance and I believe sexism around the subject of female dress. Which is why I made this meme.

Thanks to you and everyone for commenting, by the way. but please keep the speculation about my life and my wife to a minimum please. It is possible to talk about all this stuff without making it personal.

0 ups, 4y,

You didn’t say anything “sexist” necessarily — i don’t find that your attitudes about sexual relations are inherently sexist even though they are more conservative than my own.

I think you did say a couple of things uncharitable toward me when you tread into speculation territory, but it’s okay.

I *do* think it’s sexist to call women “w**res,” as Syd did, whatever they’re wearing. Personally, I wouldn’t even feel comfortable using that word to describe a literal prostitute.
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
I didn't mean to be uncharitable but I think you should stop and think what example you're giving young people saying things like "make her suck my c***" and other sexual innuendo being a married man. Guarding one's heart and mind is the recipe for a long and happy marriage. Not making any assumptions about your wife, just speaking as a wife who would be hurt if I found my husband behaving similarly.

SexStream is a sex-positive project featuring a mixture of sexual, philosophical, and political content whose aim is to model healthy attitudes about consensual sex and viewing women (including women who take off their clothes) as fully-fledged human beings

My wife knows about this, and was a bit confused at first, but when I explained the stream’s mission and purpose to her, she was a lot more okay with it.

It’s also about countering “incel” or “red-pill” attitudes about women that I used to semi-hold as an angsty youngster, and which I know plenty of confused and angry young men on the internet hold today.

I feel there is a stunning lack of sex education marketed toward the young male crowd and as a result, their frustrations get channeled into more dangerous pursuits.

I believe sex is a healthy, natural, and pro-social activity either in or outside of marriage.

Particularly when the average age of first marriage for men in this country is something like 28-29, I think it’s unreasonable to seriously expect most men to wait that long. Ditto for women whose average age of first marriage is just a couple years under that.
2 ups, 4y,
1 reply
But I really don't see your stream as being much different from all the other booty and boobs stream, its still guys gawking over girls. Sex positive? How exactly is that different from the other sex streams that you must have deemed sex negative?

You really have a negative attitude toward people who believe sex should be reserved for marriage and have bravely fought against the status quo and decided to keep their bodies for their husband or wife. Chastity, celibacy are totally acceptable ways of living and many people do it. It's not unreasonable and for centuries until the sexual revolution and feminism shoved sex down everyone's throat people were fine and I dare say better off then when sex was stripped of its dignity and treated like a game or fun pastime that anyone at any time can engage in with anyone. And all this forgetting the true value in sex as a total gift of self giving between 2 people committed to eachother for life because they LOVE eachother just that much. And not to mention its secondary purpose of procreation and babies is a cancerous tumor to be avoided and gotten rid of at all costs.
0 ups, 4y
I have *not* judged those other streams to be sex-negative. In fact, I contribute content to them frequently as well. I just wanted my own stream where I could exercise control over my own content and viewpoint, doing a little bit of that (in praxis of my viewpoint that sex is healthy and natural), but also waxing political and philosophical.

To me, sex-negativity is about regarding sex as somehow unhealthy and unnatural, and especially, in shaming people for doing it if they go about it in a way that does not conform with their own personal notions.

An attitude I have seen a lot on this comment thread. A lot. A little bit from you. But mostly from Sydney, who is very gleefully invoking the wh-word in just about every new reply now. And the rampant speculation and judgment about my own life and wife.

Not to mention banning bikinis while full-body burkas (which stand in principle for the total subjugation of women) are okay.

So, I would say that this stream and a lot of the people who inhabit it are sex-negative in outlook.

I have no problems with chastity and sex before marriage if that is what people want to do for themselves. But I think it’s a distinct minority viewpoint and I want to speak to the majority.

Genuinely curious, which if, any of these activities you’d consider to be “acting like a w**re”:

—Wearing a one-piece swimsuit to the pool or beach
—Wearing a thong bikini to the pool or beach
—Modeling a line of lingerie
—Shooting a sensual music video such as “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head”
—Shooting a raunchy music video such as “Wrecking Ball”
—Attending an outdoor music festival in a bikini top and short-shorts
—Wearing make-up and a short skirt and going out dancing with friends on a Saturday night
—Sharing sexy photos with a boyfriend over Snapchat
—Taking a part-time job as a stripper to make ends meet
—Actually being a prostitute (because your husband died without life insurance and you need a way to feed your three kids until you can find something better)

Bonus round: Is there anything men typically do that makes them “act like w**res”? If so, what are they?

The young women on this stream who admire your viewpoint and would like to not be called “w**res” want an answer.

Another good opportunity to share this meme of mine from a couple months ago.

imgflip.com/i/3hd1cd

Sex work (which encompasses a wide range of activities from webcamming to stripping to literal prostitution) is tremendously stereotyped and misunderstood.

You don’t have to want to do it, or want it for your own daughter, but it is the world’s so-called “oldest profession” and it’s not going away any time soon. We may as well try to understand it.

Most women who turn to sex work do it temporarily, out of absolute necessity, because difficult life circumstances forced them to and not necessarily because they’re morally compromised.
