Sex is an expression of love. It is the world’s oldest pastime. It is a pro-social activity that brings men and women together and helps us recognize our common humanity. It is healthy and inspires us to be healthier. Just about everyone does it at some point in their lives. It is a strong viewpoint of mine that our attitudes around sex are far too prudish.

The definition of “porn” offered on this website’s TOS is so vague that it could encompass almost anything. The Global MOD’s short explanations after unfeaturing a half dozen or more gifs of mine were not helpful at all. (He said something like “it’s porn regardless of what’s showing.”) Some gifs and images that were quite raunchy remained featured. I have no guidance at this point regarding what content is permissible to avoid the MOD’s explicit threat of my stream being “deleted” or my own ImgFlip account “banned” if I “keep doing it.”

Yes, I’m aware there are kids on this site, but that’s what the NSFW filter is for. My stream is far from the only one on this site that is sex-oriented, and it at least has a heavy dose of political philosophy as well. Which the other sex-oriented streams like “booty” and “boobs,” though I love them too, just don’t.

And yes, I could make this stuff “private” as it is suggested, but that’s not the point. I want to *share* sex-positive content in an effort to change hearts and minds about this.

With so much hateful and disgusting content floating around this site — death threats being just the worst of it — it is not fair that the purveyors of hate get to benefit from a free-wheeling “free speech absolutist” culture, while my own thoroughly positive albeit sexy content is targeted for removal.

Nice links to the porn that was removed in your above linked meme. As I replied elsewhere:

You are a guest on the website they are operating, hosting, and paying for. It is their house, their rules. Maybe you should find somewhere that is open to you posting that, here obviously is not. So the choices come down to:
A) Don't follow the rules and get deleted
B) Follow the rules and stay
-or-
C) Find somewhere the rules are in line with your expectations.
Pretty simple.

1. It’s not “porn.” It’s cropped porn. A valid meme subgenre, in my opinion.
2. I have never posted “full nudity,” nor would I.
3. The ImgFlip TOS’s definition of “porn” is basically nonexistent and of no help.

I agree it’s ImgFlip’s house, ImgFlip’s rules. However, I have a problem with their lack of definition of this particular rule and its apparently arbitrary and capricious enforcement.

I want to comply but this is making it hard.

The problem is that terms like "sex-positive" don't deal with the realities that THE GENERAL PUBLIC might have strong objections. And although YOU might not consider it "porn", politicians looking for something to rail against could point to Imgflip.

Years ago I pointed out to the owner of a porn site that under U.S. federal law he is required to keep documentation that all models are at least 18 years old and he is required to post on the site a statement citing the statute and saying that he has such records and they are available for inspection. He had no idea that was required.

There's a site that was located in Australia for years, that mainly had "solo" videos of women. When Australia voted in a conservative government, they literally packed up and moved to Amsterdam.

Basically, Imgflip isn't looking to "skirt the edge", they want a wide berth--so they object to things even if they personally couldn't care. No business wants to have to pay tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees to "protect their freedom of speech rights".

Maybe they wrote it that way so that the MODs can use their discretion based on how it appears and what the consensus of MODs agree should be the way forward.

BTW, I am trying to keep this going, so maybe they'll see it and give you an answer.

But I do think it is vague for discretion purposes since it is almost impossible to be able to difinitively account for every possibility that may be produced on this website.
