Bloomberg says he should pay more taxes. So do a lot of billionaires. And Bloomberg made his own money. He didn't inherit it from a rich daddy.

And then he agrees.

i mean,
a billionaire enters the presidential race under the auspice that he will not be beholden to the donor class,because he brings his own money.

where have we heard this before?

This would be a good meme if it were true, but it is not.

Sanders said,
“I’m disgusted by the idea that Michael Bloomberg or any other billionaire thinks they can circumvent the political process and spend tens of millions of dollars to buy our elections,
It’s just the latest example of a rigged political system that we are going to change when we’re in the White House.”

Warren said,
"He doesn’t need people. He only needs bags and bags of money … His view is that he doesn’t need people who knock on doors. He doesn’t need to get out and campaign with people … And if you get out and knock on 1,000 doors, he’ll just spend another $37 million to flood the airways. And that’s how he plans to buy a nomination in the Democratic Party.”

Both have been very vocal about their opposition to Bloomberg.
