The way Schiff ran that. Was that not completely unprecedented? Even the dems in Nixon's time and the repubs in Clinton's time at least were fair, no? Even the way Schiff was screwing with the time Republicans had to question.

Y’all are too indoctrinated to see it, but Ukrainegate is worse than Watergate (even based on what we’ve seen so far, which has been hampered by Republican stonewalling) and history will bear this out.

And I say this as someone who remained skeptical of Russiagate throughout the whole process. The information that surfaced out of that Mueller probe was troubling, but not impeachable in my view.

In my view? The investigation doesn’t need to find anything, honestly. The transcript of the call speaks for itself. Whether you want to call it a “quid pro quo” or not... leave aside whether Trump implied the billions in Congressionally-appropriated military aid funds could be revoked... the message from Trump was that the new Ukrainian President needed to order the prosecutor to investigate Joe Biden’s son. The idea that Trump truly cared about “fighting corruption in the Ukraine” is farcical. He singled out one person — the son of a political opponent — for investigation, in a call with a brand new foreign head-of-state. That alone is impeachable conduct, in my view.

Will the probe turn up other stuff too? Probably. I haven’t followed the Giuliani & Co. stuff all that closely but I hear that crew is in hot water too.

At least the economy is good.

Trump never asked Ukraine to investigate Hunter Biden. That point was made today. You do realize the number one democratic candidate did do exactly what you're saying, right? Or is it okay when you're doing it for family?

The probe turning up other stuff is what Pelosi and crew are counting on. They won't get the senate votes with this.

It’s not the president’s duty to investigate corruption. That’s for the FBI to judge or frankly the Ukrainian authorities themselves. What is “Mind-numbing” is that a sitting president would place a call halfway across the world and ask another head-of-state to investigate one person — just one — who just so happened to be a politically important target for himself. That’s abuse of the office. And as a matter of substance, it’s plain as day from the transcript that Trump didn’t know what the hell he was talking about. As per usual, Trump’s agenda was to kick up dust to damage a political foe, and you guys bought it hook, line, and sinker. But a lot of Americans saw right through the charade this time and public support for impeachment is now higher than ever.
