There are strong anti-poverty programs already. Should we do a little more, sure, but you wouldn’t have defended it like you do if you knew the reality. I never lived in it, but I know people who have. It never works.

If you want the support for Communism to go down, make those programs stronger. If that's what you call a defense of Communism, then that right there is why your perception of the threat is so high.
