Technically, it's a false equivalency, but I digress. Seems to be the trend. Point being though, that one was a teen who was accosted by liberals for standing near a demonstration, then subsequently trashed by the media and disciplined prematurely by his school, after which, he received death threats from leftists...all for standing still and smiling. The other is literally lecturing the world and the same lefties cry foul when she's criticized for spouting their talking points.

that's why I like it,
the particulars are totally different, but the media frenzy, and the partisan muppet response are almost identical.

I take issue with any keyboard muppet warrior thinking it is ok to utilize social media to demonize f**king kids.

Kids are exempt if they remain bystanders. Once they want to play with the adults they are open to have their ideas examined, criticized, and mocked even.

So the meme is right on point.

and I took issue with the shrieking harpies in that case as well.

I am not making the case that we can't criticize,or disagree or that anyone who enters the public sphere should be immune from scrutiny.

you in the public yo...
scrutiny happens.

what I am talking about is the EXACT same thing those middle school kids were subjected to.
doxing.
death threats.
harassment.

so much so that they and their families had to recede from all social media, just to protect themselves and their families.

while these two situations may have had differing particulars, the reactions have been almost identical, but coming from opposite sides of the political spectrum.

so the maga kids triggered the lefties into becoming a big ball of shrieking subhuman awfulness.who took to social media to become heroic warriors for JUSTICE!!

so too, have the righties become this triggered, frothing pile of offended gelatinous rage.
taking to their social media circles to form up to some weird syphyllis Voltron to attack this young girl.FOR JUSTICE!!!!

bunch of butthurt nancies who have deluded themselves that they are in any way relevant.

at least the extreme left and extreme right are consistent.
consistently stupid.

did I clear that up properly?

death threats and physical threats against kids or anyone is beyond the pale... so we agree there, but this means they choose to enter with the adults they get treated as the adults... but that everyone should be treated without violence.

I stated, quite simply and plainly, that utilizing social media to attack, smear and harass children is wrong, and that maybe we shouldn't do it.

I also never made the argument that the parents are not responsible.

I am specifically focusing on the fake outrage and consequent virulent attacks on a child .

Some people speculate that the world is actually freezing not warming. But if it is the world goes through global change.
Heres my theory. So you know how the earth is on an inverted axis. Well since it seems like a lot of creatures went after The Flood (Which is pretty much accepted by most scientists and religions). Yes i know of some cases of prehistoric creatures being alive or accouts of them. But i think an asteroid hit the earth ( maybe the gulf of Mexico idk maybe somewhere else dont know enough about topography or geology) but that started the flood it would make sense. And that caused the earth to be inverted thus also changing the climate.

What do you call forcing children to attend church?
4 ups, 5y,
2 replies
Not leaving children at home or not finding a babysitter for Sunday mornings.

They don't have to believe it, and when they're old enough, they can not go.

Granted, I'm taking my future children to church to learn about salvation through Jesus Christ, which I wish to extend to my home life as well. My mother never expected me not to go if I didn't want to, nor did she parade me in front of a camera to badmouth world leaders into furthering an agenda.

I take it church left a mark on you?

A mark? No I was intelligent enough to know at a young age that imaginary people don’t exist.

And forcing small children to attend so they can be brainwashed is nothing more than child abuse as far as I’m concerned
2 ups, 5y,
1 reply
Good to know. God's not imaginary.

I do agree it's wrong to brainwash children. It's ultimately up to the child to accept Christ as Lord and Savior. Having them come to church with you isn't abuse, especially when they're too young to look after themselves.

Curious: are your parents Christian?

The status of my parents is not relevant. And it’s a sad attempt at deflecting

Q. Why don’t you believe in and worship Oden? How about the God Zeus?

There’s the exact same amount of evidence for them as the Christian “god”

What denomination of Christianity do you practice? Explain why. After all there are so many.

I could go on like this all day long but there is no point.

I can’t reason with someone who believes thing for no valid and justified reason.
1 up, 5y,
1 reply
You don't have to tell me. I'm not deflecting. Like I said, I was curious.

I believe in God because He is the Lord Almighty. If anybody wishes to worship Oden, Zeus, Ra, or any other god, that's their prerogative.

There is evidence of at the very least, a divine being, or creator. From the universe to the smallest cells, and even history / ancestry itself points to God.

I don't have a particular "denomination," per se, but I guess you can say that I'm an Evangelical Christian, which is what we're all in the church supposed to be. Jesus, before His ascension, told His disciples to go into the world and share the Good News of the Gospel. Christians (any people who admit they're sinners and accept Jesus into their hearts as Savior) are also Jesus's disciples, so that commission extends to us as well.

I understand. I just wanted you to know why we bring our children to church with us. I do agree forcing a belief on others is unacceptable. We're not called by God to convert people, that's His doing upon a person's personal choice, just as He didn't make us God-worshipping machines upon creation.

Hopefully, these are at least reasons, even if you don't see them valid or justified. Have a wonderful day.
0 ups, 5y
You either purposely missed the point of the Q or you didn’t grasp it.

Why are you a Christian? What about the “bible” is more genuine and valid compared to other religions that have and still exist

I already know the actual answer. You choose to put faith in the “bible” due to where you were born and how you were programmed as a child.

Has you been born in a nation such as Egypt or Saudi Arabia you would most likely worship Allah and adhere to the teachings of the Koran.

Don’t panic. “Allah” is Arabic for “god”

And it’s the exact same “god” that the Jews and Christians delude themselves into believing exists.

The only thing that separates you from Muslims is the man created doctrines regarding it. That’s it.

It's true that living in America, I am more likely to grow up in a Christian faith than if I were to grow up in Saudi Arabia or Egypt, where I'd study the Koran. But there are Christians in those countries, too, and some didn't grow up with Christian churches. There are also many opportunities for me to explore different religions, I suppose, but I'm not a Christian for the sake of religion. It's a matter of ensuring I have a relationship with God through Jesus.

The Bible is the word of God given to us. We learn the history leading up to the Gospel, the message of salvation, and the life we live with Jesus in our hearts. It can sound like a bunch of mumbo jumbo at times, and with other people claiming different gods, lines can easily seem blurred.

In the case of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity/Messianic faith, things can seem especially confusing. Abraham is pretty much the connecting factor. Orthodox Jews today are waiting on the Messiah from Abraham and Sarah's lineage. Messianic Jews and Christians know that Jesus already came and died for our sins, opening the way to Salvation for all people. I'm aware that "Allah" means "God" in Arabic. The god served in Islam isn't God, though.

I'm no religious scholar, and I'm still learning more about God. And yes, again, my upbringing did help influence my current faith today, but of course I had to question it sometimes. My biggest brain scratcher is why God created Lucifer if He knew he'd become Satan! Some things I probably will never know on this side of heaven.

How about you? Given all these different religions and gods, how did you come to the conclusion of God being imaginary, and all doctrine being man-made?
0 ups, 5y
Why would I believe “gods” are imaginary? Many reasons but I’ll limit it to just 5 off the top of my head in no particular order.

1. There are several mythical stories about imaginary “gods” that existed prior to the advent of “Jesus” and these “gods” possessed all or some of they very same attributes of the “god” you call Jesus

In other words people of the time borrowed from the oral traditions of those previous myths and attributed to the newest and greatest totally made up “God” that you refer to as Jesus. And according to your own man created doctrine “Jesus and God” are one in the same.

You apparently fail to grasp or purposely ignore how utterly idiotic that is. The Trinity crap.

2. The Christian version of a “god” is all knowing, all powerful and created all things.

Even though this “god” knew precisely what horrific, vile and immoral events would occur for every second of every day for all time after its creation this all wise and all loving “god” chose to do it anyway.

That’s not the actions of a loving all knowing “god”

That’s the actions of a twisted, sick, and flat out evil being. Luckily a reasonable and rational person know that men are evil. Not imaginary beings.

3. The existence of areas and individuals mentioned in the Bible is not proof of an imaginary “gods” existence. You can not use the Bible as proof that the Bible is true.

Japan exists I’ve been there. Never saw Godzilla 🤪

4. The Bible says God was angry and sad regarding how wicked and evil “his” creation had become.

1. A prefect being such as your god would be incapable of creating something “imperfect” any and all things this “god” would do or create by its nature would be perfect

And there for be in capable of making a mistake. Or in other words they would be a god as well.

Don’t mention free will. If a “god” gave you free will it could have given u the ability to use free will but only make good choices.

Plus there are aspects of free will that don’t exist.

If you had genuine free will? You could choose to not like “or” like something or someone

Example. I hate strawberries. I can’t simply choose to like them

5. This imaginary “god” says in the Bible that only “Noah” was good and sinless. Yet when he wiped out all living things he allowed evil to stay.

Noah’s sons were not good. But he let them live.

If you actually dig into the Bible with a open, reasonable, and rational mind you would stop believi
0 ups, 5y,

4. If I made a world that went from perfect to almost 100% 24/7 evil in ten generations, I would be, too!

Indeed God cannot create another God -- that wouldn't make sense. God didn't make a mistake in making us or the world, no matter what it looks like from our perspective.

When God did put the world in motion, it was good. When God made man, he made us as His children. My Dad cannot make me love him, even though he still loves me. God cannot make people love Him, it's their individual choices.

If God gave me free will only to make good choices, then that's not exactly "free" will.

"If you had genuine free will? You could choose to not like “or” like something or someone" <-- You bring up an interesting concept that we will never fully experience in our lifetime.

When man was created, we were at that point capable of the choice of living a full life without sin and living a full life with sin. Obviously, we chose the latter. How does this effect us? God is incapable of sinning, but created human beings with the choice of sinning or being sinless. Man chose sin, and cannot create, but reproduce. Man cannot reproduce free will the same way God made it in us. We are born into sin, with no hope of escape without a Savior. The only human who led an absolutely perfect, sinless life was Jesus. He was conceived in a human through God, so He was simultaneously God and man. His human status made it possible for Jesus to sin -- He was definitely able to be tempted and He struggled with His dying on the cross -- but by His being God, He was also able to live without sinning.

Hold up -- you're the first I've heard of to dislike strawberries without any medical reason. Interesting...

But again, you may not be able to choose to like strawberries at the drop of a dime, but perhaps through different circumstances you could get to a point where you can't get enough of them. I used to hate cheese, myself, but for the longest time, I'd only had American. And it tasted like it looked. I based my dislike for cheese on one perspective. Then I tried some at Whole Foods when I got older. What a difference. Granted, I may not like all cheese, but I got a broader appreciation through different perspective.

Also, without Christ, it's impossible to go on without sinning. It's hardly possible to do it with Christ -- sin nature and all that.

Sorry the Bible is not accurate. The current version is full of contradictions and historical inaccuracies.

Ignoring them doesn’t make it accurate. The reason the Bible is not accurate is because it was written by men who made the whole thing up. Just like every other religion.

Here’s a challenge for you. Prove the stories of the Bible are factually 100% true WITHOUT mentioning the Bible or any of its content in any way, shape, and form.

You can not prove the Bible by using the Bible as evidence.

Btw? There are a few historical writers who mention events occurring in the Middle East at the time of your “Jesus” such as Josephus ect.

But none of those writing claim the person is a “god” they only record that some one was running around making trouble. And some of those writings are forgeries.

All religions regardless of what they depend on “FAITH” and the moment you say something as dumb as you just have to have faith ?

You give instant creditably to EVERY single religion that exists and ever existed.

I choose to believe in what I can see, hear, and feel 😀

You take care.

5. "This imaginary “god” says in the Bible that only “Noah” was good and sinless." The Bible never states that Noah was sinless, period. It states he was "perfect in his generation," and as you're aware, the standard was definitely set pretty low.

God was not eradicating all of sin; this would involve completely killing mankind, which he could've done with Adam and Eve at the Fall. Knowing that a Savior would come out of Noah's lineage, God gave humanity another chance at keeping from evil, even with man fully knowing evil in nature. God was saddened at how corrupt man had become, but He wouldn't give up on us so easily, kind of like a parent heavily disciplining his rebellious children but still loving them.

"Noah’s sons were not good. But he let them live." Men are evil, yet God lets us live. Day by day, minute by minute, second by second, God let's us live, despite being depraved. He wants us to live with Him forever in Heaven, and he especially seeks a personal relationship with each one of us on Earth.

I've learned that studying God's Word with an open mind takes perspectives. Not just reading from a human perspective, but also understanding a spiritual realm and learning more and more about an Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent God.

1. While there are many accounts of gods throughout the ages, the Bible is the oldest and most historically proven theological transcript.

As for the Trinity, it's perfectly possible for God to exist as three persons. It's like three points of a triangle existing all as one triangle, or water existing at all three states at the same time.

2. It does seem illogical at first to believe God created a world for perfection and love, only to allow horrible evils to invade it. However, it's impossible to us know what the existence of a concept without knowing the antithesis of it. The presence of evil is horrifying, but we wouldn't know about the purity of love without it. We may love God, but it would be static without knowing what sin is.

Provided men are evil, one would assume men made the world down to the last detail. Man has yet to make something out of nothing. At least some being higher than man would had to have been the Creator. And that creator cannot be imaginary; imaginary beings cannot create physical worlds, much less ethical and philosophical concepts.

By the way, James (assuming that's your name), you may have helped me understand why God created Lucifer if he would become Satan. Seeing God truly in His goodness is made clearer in Satan's evil. Thanks!

3. Using the Bible alone to prove its validity would be a bit like defining a word using the same word you're using to describe it, I guess. As I mentioned earlier, there is historical evidence for the Bible, as well as archaeological and scientific proof for different points of the Bible. And you don't even need the Bible to prove the existence of God. Creation itself proves it.

You might wanna check the Hudson River for Godzilla, btw. Apparently it can dive right in there. (Just kidding.)
