that would be a good argument, but you're missing several points. 1. the Vietnam war was fought between 1965 and 1975, and military technology has come a long way since then. 2. America is a very different nation from Vietnam. America is a very developed nation with a lot of cities and neighborhoods and a lot of forgiving terrain, where Vietnam was very underdeveloped and with a lot of harsh jungle terrain. 3. Vietnam was a foreign war for the U.S., whereas if there were to be a resistance here, they would be fighting the us on their homeland. 4. how are we even sure people would rise up in the first place. the reason there are so little workers rights in the united states is because there has never been a large scale uprising like in other nations with better workers rights. Americans have just kind of become complacent with how little workers rights they have. the same would probably happen with a U.S. dictatorship.
