I blame the victim culture that's been brewing in schools and media for awhile. Trump and Obama just accelerated it. There's been a fair number of faked hate crimes by Muslims, trannies, Jews, gay people. It always gets attention, unlike the beating that just happened outside the Minnesota baseball stadium, Twitter goes nuts and then silence on the retraction. Faked hate crimes are a way to score victim points. Plus it detracts from actual hate crimes against them. I know I always question them with skepticism now.

The figures listing number of opioid "related" deaths include the deaths of anyone with opiates in their system, even if completely unrelated to the cause of death, and even if the opiates were supposed to be in the system in the first place.

Killed by gunfire? Opioid related.
Killed by cancer? Opioid related.
Died in the back seat of a cab that was t-boned by a drunk driver in a semi? Opioid related.
