Those instances must not have made mainstream news anyways. Although I didn't watch much news then, I never heard about those cases until during the Kathy Griffin case.
I hope you don't think all republicans felt that way. I certainly did not. I never went around chanting not my president either, even though I voted for Romney. Plus, as an aspiring soldier, I would have eagerly defended Mr. Obama the same as I would any other American.
