I actually think the Lord Of the Rings are better movies but I have fond memories of watching Harry Potter with my Dad. That's what puts it at the top for me.

Lol! That's a good reason to like it. I actually read the Hobbit and LOTR trilogy, but never the potter books. I guess for me the potter series just felt a little more kiddie to me, but I saw the movies and get their appeal.

I never read the LOTR books and never really watched the movies, I've read (and am currently re-reading) all the Harry Potter books, and I have a whole community for Harry Potter.

Harry Potter. Not because I think Lord of The Rings is worst, just because I've never stayed awake watching any of the movies thus far so Harry wins by default. Also because the actors pretty much grew up with me.
