Just because you think I missed the point of the meme, does not mean I missed the point. And you accuse me of being arrogant??!!!
Save your preaching about hoods and swastikas for people who give a damn what you think. I don't make assumptions about people based on my perception of whether or not they agree with me.
I only mentioned nazis because I didn't want ignorant douches to attack me for anything nazi-related. When it comes to nazis, I often have to attack the idiots who try to compare Trump to Hitler, which is a purely ignorant thing to do. I've been burned enough by people like that here on the flip to expect it.
And no, you're wrong. The south started the war. Are you from the south? Is that why your panty is in a wad over this? I've heard things about some (even many) in the south having emotional issues over losing the war, to this day. I had pretty much dismissed that notion as being far fetched, but you have likely given me cause to reconsider. Really, are you from the south? If so, you'd be the first southerner I've met (even in a forum like this) that I dislike.
And while I absolutely do not have to answer to you, I will in this case. Yes, I've read "a history book", many history books in fact. You saying the north started the war is naive to the point of pure ignorance; just as if you were saying it was the US who started the war with Japan on Dec. 7, 1941, because it was our policies that pushed them into attacking us. Too bad the south felt they had to start a war they could never win!
I said absolutely nothing about the North's motives for being involved in the war (other than being attacked by the south.) The fact that you state matter of factly that the "North didn't start the to war to free the slaves" in response to what I wrote, proves nothing, since I didn't say anything about that. How can you expect anyone to take you seriously when you can't even stay on point?
So put your short pants back on Johnny Reb, and admit that the south never had a chance of winning the war, and you're all choked up over it. Then, if you can, actually think objectively about what I wrote. If you can get past your emotional response to me insulting southerners, you may find that we share some common ground on this subject.
Just an FYI, I'm out for the weekend as of the moment I press the 'Post Comment' button. So no matter how petty and insulting your reply is, I won't even see it until Monday, or later.
