Mods, you need to fix this shit!

12 views, no upvotes...this has happened to me on several occasions, very annoying.

I do wonder what's behind that sometimes. Do the mods take shifts? Or is it a wander in and feature memes when you feel like it sort of thing? I don't mind a couple of hours wait. But sometimes the 12 hour wait is a little puzzling.

Especially when you can tell it's been viewed, and only mods could do that before it's featured, I'm pretty sure.

I wonder if it has to go through a few mods before it gets featured or something? I always did wonder about that.

Well, I think there are some that don't want to take responsibility for letting certain memes through. I know that it can sometimes take a lot longer if you use a custom template too, though not entirely sure why.

lately I captioned a 'Sudden Clarity Clarence' which is common templates' list so it doesn't need any afresh approval;
added a four-word-caption (no NSFW terms, no cusswords);
no extra-images added, no sublime tagging, no extra title.
then submitted to the 'politics stream' where I know they do 'auto-approval' by algorithms. (no mods involved to feature a submission; only those submissions who fail the algorithms will get a closer look at by a mod).
It didn't auto-feature though, it was stuck in submission loop for like 9 hours. I eventually filed a 'feedback' complaint in order to have it featured.
thereafter it featured within half an hour.

You could be right. It would be nice to know for sure how it works behind the scenes.

Someone committed to looking at memes can find those that haven’t featured yet. The image page addresses go in order. So if you understand how the address is made, after you create a meme, you can just change the last digit and get another meme just created.0

Custom streams are one thing. Streams like politics and fun are another.

I moderate the cats, and there is no switch that says feature at midnight, but I’ve experienced that before, many times, with my own memes.

I’ve been back and forth with Dylan on this issue. He swears that it’s just an algorithm but I see even when I use standard templates they can take 5+ hours to feature and in the meantime a dozen or two custom templates (Politics stream) get featured in less than an hour.
When did you change your name?

I don't believe much of what they tell us. It's mostly bullshit.

I changed it just a few minutes ago. They're letting us do it now.
