Not EVERYTHING was better but some things were, yes.

merican things, freedoms, people in general seemed nice and more polite. theres still some towns scattered with those wonderful things and poeple in texas, ohio and Tennessee over in that area at least.

Is this a coincidence: Gun free school zones everywhere and the kids are getting dumber

problem is also that when some dumb kid doesnt do good he just gets passed on to the next teacher the next year who doesnt want to deal with him or "ruin his self esteem" and so these kids are getting outs high school dumber than a flock of grapes and dont know how to find the perimeter of a square or what 50 percent of 500 is. i kid you not those were actual examples of some teens ive had to help out with taking tests for military entry

Get the federal government out of education policy and indoctrination and let the local people make the focus on learning fundamentals

didnt know about that part. i think theres a lot of things that contributed to it all over time but i saw a change after 2 main things were removes, the ten commandments/opening prayer and the reciting of the pledge of allegiance

No doubt there are many factors involved. Family, social, bureaucracy, etc. Bring back accountability. Ross Perot ( recently passed away) instituted the “don’t pass /don’t play” in high school. Need to make it “don’t LEARN - don’t play or go onto next grade” AND “kids don’t learn you don’t teach anymore”

imagine next when these kids are teachers. and right, if you dont teach then they wont learn. simply speaking if you stop teaching biblical principals in school theres no moral standard for the children growing up except what they are taught in the home, which nowa days is pretty much do what ever you want and you wont get disciplined, just screamed at

i think its screwed no matter what with how bad things are getting. i think there could be one more revival in nation and churches and then after that, world is burned

i guess it depends on your religious view on history and prophecy tho
