While he is /sort of/ conflating the issues, I think his reasoning is that expecting a straight, cis male to date a trans-woman IS expecting him to turn gay, because that trans-woman is still biologically male. The same with expecting a straight, cis woman to date a trans-man that is still biologically female.

Straight? Hell, they're going after gays and lesbians too, you know.
