It's been like this since day one...almost Every decision he makes is 'sorted' into "Trump is Stupid." or "Trump is Evil"... and subsequently they follow "that thread" until law of diminishing returns, and then they change it up

Its actually quite scary. Ten minutes later and the world would have witnessed another War between the US and some Middle eastern Dictatorship and destabilized the region even more. The Death toll would have been in the thousands

Well, yes, if it were to escalate after a counter-attack (the counter-attack itself would not result in thousands of deaths). Iran would be largely culpable in that happening, given the beligerence they've been showing... I think this event may have been 'arranged' as a means of goading a military response.... Where's Kerry been, maybe we could ask him if he knows?

my concern is that the Iranian stupid government forces civilians to fight someone they don't even know.

Just seen a YouTube video about this by Tim Pool. He said other world leaders like the ruler of Malaysia said miscalculations could lead to a world war. So who knows where this could end if the conflict continues. It is rather ominous. I am surprised that the media and people is calling him a coward for making the rational decision. An unmanned drone being shot down harms no one. The old pocketbook takes a hit but that's about it. Targeting human lives is different. Most likely Iran was just sending a message they're not going to be a push over. De-escalation was the smart move. It might not stop war if the other side is set on war. But it's got to help a little.
