because conservative isn't f**king evil like corporate media plays it out,and neither are liberals,or libertarians,or paleo-conservatives,or federalists,or anarchists.
if you took both comm and poli/sci you know that what corporate media is selling AIN"T news,information or even f**king journalism.
they are selling a product to a consumer.
they just are selling different flavors.
which is why you may see me say that we need each other more than ever,because we DO.
we have to navigate a propaganda/marketing juggernaut that literally inundates us all almost every minute of every day.playing to our biases,our predjudices,our lizard brains.
I have been on this site for 4 months and have yet to state my politics.
the reason?
because before we can get to the politics,we have to agree on our foundational starting point.
so much of the time I spend here is playing whack-a-mole to smash :false narratives,propaganda and sometimes outright bullshit.
corporate media feeds us a steady diet of:hate,distrust and deep-deep tribalism.
they present the news more like WWF than actual news.
infotainment dressed up as a soap opera.
and for the muppet class,this has created such a divisive "sports team" mentality.that they sling perjoratives as "libtard" and "cuckservative" with glee,and they are oblvious to just how thoroughly they have been indoctrinated.
I do not engage with those people.i ridicule them...relentlessly.
but as people,american citizens..
differing political ideologies should not be a deal breaker.
we can disagree,but we need to work to understand each other in order to actually engage in politics,and the only way to do that is ignore corporate media and actually talk with one another.
which is what I try to do.
sometimes I succeed,sometimes I fail..but I do try..
