Feminist would say what about the women's right to vote? Yea that was the suffrage movement and that ship has sailed. What I think of when I hear feminism now is pink pussy hats and #shoutyourabortion. Hardly lofty ideals for women.

1st wave feminism had a noble intent, in many ways, but it fairly quickly shifted to the current 3rd wave cancer. Studies have shown that women are happier in the home, raising a family then some career obsessed drone, putting off children until they need expensive fertility treatments or it's too late.

Yeah. I get why women get abortions. But to cheer it on is absolutely disgusting and probably is trying to mask emotional trama derived from it.

Statistically, I probably would have been happier not having a career too, but I still want one.

Nothing wrong with a career. But I think with motherhood and nurturing being an inherent desire in women suppressing it is always going to leave us empty.

Funny because I keep meeting women who aren't mothers who say it doesn't.

Deep down I think it does. But they're never going to admit it. Show me an old childless couple who are so glad they never had children. Or an old woman who is now alone at the end of her long career. Children bring a joy that no amount of money or worldly success can bring. Sure they are hard work but it's the best work I think.

You know who knows that better than anyone? Nurses.

That's my entire point: I've met SEVERAL old childless couples who are glad they never had children. They're very common. They are fine with it and who are you to say that none of them are being honest with their feelings?

I think in today's culture with the pressures put on us to conform to standards very few people speak what is in the deepest recesses of their hearts and souls. I venture to guess you've also met many women who are proud or glad to have an abortion but are they really at peace with it, really overcome with joy and would do it all over again given the chance? These women to me are only angry or sad but mostly in pain and trying their best to deny the fact. At least the ones I've met.

Possibly because the women who are sincerely at peace with where they are didn't feel like sticking around for you to lecture them about how they should be feeling deep down inside.

I know women who have elected for expensive surgeries to ensure that they never get pregnant even once. They have shown nothing but absolute commitment to their decision. And they. Should not. Have. To live. With ANYONE. Telling them that they are being dishonest with themselves.

And I have nothing against people who have been misled into believing children are like a cancer to be avoided at all costs and removed like a tumor when all else fails. My dad had a vasectomy my mom had an abortion. I was adopted because they could no longer have children but desperately wanted one. Even after adopting my brother and I they still lived with the regret and deep depression for many many years. Only just now 30 years later (and now grandparents) have they been able to come to terms with their mistake. I guess the only good that came off it is that my brother and I gained 2 wonderful parents and they have been able to counsel others who regret making similar decisions. I'm just tired of seeing so many people buy into the lies.

that's commitment alright, kinda hard not to be committed once you've elected to be spayed or neutered like a dog. I'm not telling anyone how they feel. I'm just saying I don't believe for a minute anyone is truly happy (despite what they have convinced themselves to feel) going against everything you were created to be. It's against nature for mothers to kill their own offspring. Some animals may do that. Humans should never even consider it, yet here we are.

And the women who /aren't/ at peace with it are probably fed up with being lectured at about how they don't need children, and "shouldn't let society define them by their ability to procreate", as if that were the only possible reason a woman might want to have kids.

One thing I'm curious about. Feminist often attack Christians as being oppressive of women with their rules although it was the first religion to exalt women. Meanwhile everyone ignores the real oppression that exist in the Islamic culture where they cannot even show their face.

Muslims don't even allow abortions or birth control. They want women to have as many babies as possible as soon as possible (did someone say 12 year old bride? ) Because they want to take over the world. I see nary a Muslim woman storming on Washington.
