To be fair, I am often fairly extreme in my memes and try to be more reasonable in the comments and I think you do the same.

@SydneyB - that's true. Memes are examples of rhetoric, and propaganda, but in comments you can have reasoned debate.

Yeah, sometimes it's effective to make a sharp point and then flesh it out in a less dramatic way.

I'll concede that the proposal was for undocumented - aka illegal immigrants. However, I think that the conflating of illegal and legal immigrants is often on the part of Trump and the Republicans, who are also seeking to reduce legal immigration.

Actually, Trump has talked recently of bringing in a higher number of legal immigrants, but that isn't reported on much, on both sides of the media.

asylum seeking is legal, so they are not illegal immigrants. The question is do you detain them until their hearings or do you release them before that.

I know the process is slow and Trump even addressed that, Nobody has came up with a plan to speed it up . I watched Trump say on live tv with Pelosi in the room telling her make a new bill and he would sign it, so far they have NOT done anything..

For all of you who support Trump and like his "tough" policies on illegal immigration, why doesn't this proposal of his outrage you too? The likelihood someone returning for their immigration hearing is lower if you release them to sanctuary cities. But what really offends me is that these are people, these are human beings, they deserve to be treated with respect and not political pawns. Don't any of you have compassion for these people often just seeking a better life?
