There were multiple FISA warrants approved by judges who were all appointed by Republicans to conduct surveillance, so there was something worthy of looking at. Barr on the other hand made his claim without offering any evidence. Either he produces some evidence or it should be considered an unsubstantiated smear.

The FISA warrants were issued after Halper. Halper was part of the initial FISA request. Please stop embarrassing yourself.

You can bring in all these theories about people like Halper if you want, but the fact of the matter is that Barr did not. If Barr has reason to think that Halper went beyond the FISA warranted mandate of watching certain individuals and was spying on the campaign then he should say so, otherwise, as I already said, it is an unfounded smear. Incidentally, I am arguing with the facts as I understand them, and you are arguing emotionally, with language like "blows my mind", and "stop embarrassing yourself".
