Once Upon A Time there was a tradition of crusading journalistic integrity.
It still exists,as you pointed out-but it's restricted to a small group of journals not read by the vast majority of the population.
This information won't be beamed into your living room by the cable company.
You must go online,& seek it out.
I find that UK news sources will give details about political situations in this country that are either glossed over or ignored by mainstream media here.
When seeing information, I try to go to local sources where the event happened.
A smaller publication is less likely to have its information filtered through an armada of legal advisors twitchy about offending advertisers,shareholders,& a frighteningly vindictive, anomalous administration that stoops to attacking journalists & blackmailing newspaper publishers.
And you're right-things ARE horribly broken when you realize that 'Idiocracy' is not a comedic satire, but a cautionary tale that noone heeded!
