The longest held POW in Vietnam, Everett Alvarez was my boss when I was in the VA Office of Public Affairs. He and other POWs I met held John McCain in the highest regard. I went to a couple of American Ex-POW conventions where McCain was almost worshipped. And, the Forestall fire was caused by an electrical short that caused a missile on a jet John McCain was nowhere near, to fire. He actually sustained injuries in fighting the fire.
