You're 100% right! There are few on here who believe as we do. They don't even realize that the're values that make up their very character have been eroded and that they've been brain-washed. And, they will fight you to the death to say they're not. LOL

Point being: Everything that angers you about the left-wing media is also true of the right-wing media. They are manipulative of and deceitful towards their audience. Be aware that when you make a meme like this you're calling out these folks and their audiences as well, and in equal measure.

I guess we are all flawed people. That's why we should not fight each other to virulently so we can find room to forgive.

I think you mean to say "I just noticed this recently, when *my* rights were trampled on." This has been going on since 1776, when all the soldiers who fought for Washington realized (a) they weren't going to get paid, as promised, (b) they didn't have the power to vote, as promised. Only 3% of Philadelphia had voting rights, for instance.

I have researched your contention. And, you may be right about who originally said this —though I am still looking! The amount of reading I do per day is voluminous. Save yourself the trouble and read his small essay titled "Why I Write" - it is far more direct. Skip the first part, its mere nostalgia. Start at the end of the rather lengthy weird poem. You will learn more in 2 paragraphs there than in all of 1984.

Really what I am saying is not really about the quote at all. I am saying in the title of the meme "It took 35 Years More Than 1984 to Make Orwell's Vision Reality." I'm saying that the world is turning into a world like the one described in "1984" where Big Brother is watching your every step. For example, Facebook and the other social media sites capturing all our personal info. It's a world where they want to tell you what you can and cannot eat. For example, Cory Booker and others suggest that we can no longer eat meat because cows fart. They want to take away our right to own a gun. You don't need an example for that one. When government wants to control your every move you are no longer free. This fight isn't between us. It should be be between us those politicians who would take your freedom. I don't know whose quote it is above, but here's mine:

it was a great book as far as I remember....it was literally almost 30 years ago!
