It took 35 Years More Than 1984 to Make Orwell's Vision Reality in politics

Save yourself the trouble and read his small essay titled "Why I Write" - it is far more direct. Skip the first part, its mere nostalgia. Start at the end of the rather lengthy weird poem. You will learn more in 2 paragraphs there than in all of 1984.

I think you mean to say "I just noticed this recently, when *my* rights were trampled on." This has been going on since 1776, when all the soldiers who fought for Washington realized (a) they weren't going to get paid, as promised, (b) they didn't have the power to vote, as promised. Only 3% of Philadelphia had voting rights, for instance.

True. But what country popularized leaders of both of the countries that fought in WW2? (Japan was involved, but it was really just Russia vs Germany in terms of numbers. The Reds wiped out 80% of the Nazis (about 5 million) singlehandedly, but lost 11 million in doing so.)

You know, I'm probably going to laugh after 20-100 million Americans die of famine, starvation, and "The Lost Cause Strikes Back" type civil wars in the next decade, triggered by a USD divestment cascade and ultimately gas prices of over $300 per gallon.

So will the majority of the rest of our international 'friends' who have been loaning us the $$ for our military overspending. Guess who the biggest contributor is?

Japan.

Haw haw haw! :)

(don't take it literally, though.)
