I'm just curious (haven't been following) has this been confirmed/admitted to be a hoax, or is it just still without evidence (i.e. likely to be a hoax, but the person is still claiming it happened).

Yeah, I even saw it on my liberal friends feeds. What's really odd is that liberals and the media are admitting that he faked it. Normally they would dig in thier heels an insist he was really attacked or change the subject. It's almost more suspicious than covering it up.

Not really. They know this is a gift for Trump tied up in a huge bow. Liberals blew political capital on Smollett like a drunken sailor on shore leave. Now they get to deal with the political hangover. They want Trump going into 2020 with as little ammunition as possible, so they are hoping to rip the Band-Aid off quick and clean so they can move on. Our job - to the point we don't get lazy about it - is to stop them. Make as much hay from this as possible at all points in time. Beat that dead horse until it is super-glue.
