There is a difference between fear and reality. There are few rare moments when I will say never. Here are two of them. America will NEVER repeal the 2nd amendment. America will NEVER become socialist.

To use either of these issues to determine voting direction is to use fear and dupe people.

I'm with Jefferson on the eternal vigilance. The same people who said gun owners were crazy to think people were trying to seize all guns only a year or two later came out and said that very thing themselves in many quarters, from rolling stone to a (!!!) SCOTUS justice. James3v6 actually did an excellent composite meme pulling together a half dozen of those lying deceitful s**ts in their own words.

We're speaking of a public in which the majority that says we should database everything or even ban it outright is slightly above 50% - around the same percentage of college students that have been persuaded to sign petitions at a booth to ban dihydrogen monoxide.

You get about the same dimwitted numbers out of college students on socialism too :-O
