Well yeah. We are talking about relatively lower IQ people coming from a culture of socialism. They are pretty much always going to be in favor of it: safety nets, subsidizing poor life choices, "free" stuff, punishing the rich. Then their country goes to pot and they want to flee it for a better life (ie just moving to a more prosperous country that isn't bogged down by communism). But they still want all the socialist policies as before. They just can't connect the dots that those policies of theft, transfer if wealth, and anti-freedom ruin their long term livelihood.
