Why is it that when a leftist can't support or explain their position, they resort to ad hominem.

Sometimes it is only your opinion that it is racist, homophobic, or misogynistic, especially when it goes against your identity politics.

For instance, saying there are only two sexes is not transphobic. Saying black men commit murder at a higher rate than whites is not racist. Saying men tend to be bigger, stronger, and faster than women is not misogynistic.

Leftist don't like when facts disprove their talking points or make their arguments sound ridiculous. That is why leftist rarely want to engage in a dialogue and would rather just scream at people who don't agree with them.

While I can't argue that it doesn't happen on both sides, I feel confident in saying that the left is far more likely to avoid serious discussion.

They don't even want conservative speakers to be allowed on college campuses. It almost appears that they know if their followers hear opposing views they might realize that not everything the left is saying makes sense.

I agree we are talking about the extremes. However, what I find disconcerting is that while the Republicans tend to distance themselves from the far-right, the Democrats seem to be embracing more and more of the far-left ideologies. Open borders, identity politics, abolish ICE, socialism, censorship, etc.

According to a pew research report, the Democrats have moved further to the left than the Republicans have moved to the right.

Can you name one left wing commentator that has been banned from speaking at a college? How about a democrat (that hasn't spoken out against the party line or been convicted of something) uninvited to a graduation?

I can't take much Vox says seriously, but all even they could come up with is one professor? Lets be real and add in Condi Rice, Ben Carson and others. I will you a bone on this one and give you George Will, however he has basically alienated himself from everybody except perhaps Jeff Flake and his Never Trump orchestra. History has shown that maybe even the left has could learn a little from Colter, as she was the only one that predicted the Trump win while an entire audience and interviewers mocked her. Ignorance is bliss until someone loses an election and can't handle it.

This is sadly true. I've ired my share of conservatives but most of the times they don't get nasty. The few that have just used the old self-righteous "you're going to burn in hell" routine or accused me of worshiping some devil. But in general, ired liberals are a lot quicker to go the route of exaggerations and labeling.

This is true. One simply needs to suggest an opposing view on some subject, and one quickly gets bombarded with the "YOU'RE a fascist racists misogynist!!" diatribe.
