I get your point. You are not wrong. You cannot choose how people act. You cannot choose how people will react. But you can choose how you act. I am, by no means, a saint. I have acted childish. I will likely to continue to act childish. But I never mean for my childishness to do harm and I would hope you believe so too.
I feel your frustration. But love your enemies. Not simply laugh at them, but genuinely love them and try to understand them. Only then can you find common ground. You may quite possibly do the impossible and change their minds.
You may fail. You may fail again. You may constantly fail. But even if you succeed in getting one person to listen, that you might be able to change their mind, then all your failure will be worth it.
