I will likely to continue to act childish. But I never mean for my childishness to do harm and I would hope you believe so too.

I feel your frustration. But love your enemies. Not simply laugh at them, but genuinely love them and try to understand them. Only then can you find common ground. You may quite possibly do the impossible and change their minds.

You may fail. You may fail again. You may constantly fail. But even if you succeed in getting one person to listen, that you might be able to change their mind, then all your failure will be worth it.

Good question. Just getting older, becoming more fiscally responsible and seeing the world beyond the rose colored glasses. Seeing the socialist and progressive policies of people like Obama, Merkel (even tho she claims to be center right), Trudeau, now Marcron and other lefty politicians pushed me even more. And especially seeing how hard the left pushes identity politics. But it's not the same as the more 'classical liberals' that were around when I was young.

That is all nice and fuzzy. I still believe most older people are Republican for one main reason. Cut my taxes.
