Random upvotes on their memes and comments when nobody else is around, similar writing styles, deleted images, odd posting times, etc. You may not like it, but it's the truth.
2 ups, 5y,

And your point?

(Those comments could be posted anywhere with any intension, and loads of people merely upvote to anything, and when it comes to name calling people always lacked originality).

"Those comments could be posted anywhere with any intension" Except the upvotes always arrive within a short time period after the meme was posted with one user briefly stopping with posts for just enough time to upvote the new meme. "when it comes to name calling people always lacked originality" Confounded isn't used that often as an insult anymore.

Yeah, well I got the first upvotes for my Hannibal Christmas meme in only a few minutes after it got featured too, and not a single political statement was made there, and that's no exception. And don't tell me anything about name calling. I have to judge comments people post on the FNaF fangames on Game Jolt every day, and they are also very much the same in content as what you showed. Perhaps they are also the same guys as the ones who post here as a "liberal"? Maybe? Perhaps? I dunno, you tell me... apparently you have access to data, I don't have access to... :-P

You fail to understand that it's all these things combined that prove this theory. The writing styles, random upvotes, deleted images, etc. "apparently you have access to data, I don't have access to" What does that mean?
2 ups, 5y,
1 reply
Deleted images? I guess the moderators here are doing their jobs.
And what I mean is simple. You base your conclusions on the comments of trolls, well for a part. Some trolls are just real trolls, and others may be "agents"... But how can you tell without access to IP logs and other kinds of evidence. Suspicious is not the same as guilty, so I wonder, where's the data I don't have so I can see the true evidence... Come 'on....

"But how can you tell without access to IP logs and other kinds of evidence." Imgflip doesn't allow accounts from the same IP, so that would make a difference. Here is just one of many bits of evidence. https://imgflip.com/user/SukaMadik This is one of the alts and the one who deleted some images.

The page does not show anything deleted to me... Just a page full of memes that vaguely make a point, which is as far as memes are concerned not really saying much. In fact it's saying nothing at all to back up your point.... :-/

In fact suspicious numbers are not irrefutable evidence. They can only be clues, but clues alone don't prove anything."As shown before it's more than suspicious numbers.
2 ups, 5y
Yeah, but I still have no convincing evidence. I know I may be playing a devil's advocate, but still I know better than to judge on vague data.
[deleted]
2 ups, 5y,
1 reply
What makes it vague? Many others have seen this evidence with their own eyes.
2 ups, 5y
Yeah, but that does not make it SOLID evidence. I've seen cases in court where the suspect was acquitted even after the evidence was seen by even more people's eyes, but in the end only the eyes of the judge counted I guess (or that of the jury if the country, where the case in question was handled, has one).

When it comes to this being one of many fake accounts... I can't say it is, neither can I say it isn't. But as I deem everybody innocent until proven otherwise, I must go for the latter.

Gathering evidence on which proper judgment can be cast is not as easy as it sometimes seems...

"it would be unprofessional to judge my colleagues here, but I think I got the global idea, as this evidence tells nothing and not a valid story can be made out of it. So in a certain sense, yeah, a community *can* be compared to a court" The evidence has been seen and recorded by several users. Imgflip can't be compared to a court room because the rules and punishments don't apply as the same, so if the law is how a court room operates it's not fair to compare it to Imgflip.
2 ups, 5y
You just repeated what you said before and I already told you why I don't agree with you (simply because you said the same thing before). The number of users matters little to me. It only makes me put more priority on a case if I see that, but judgment will not be altered by it. I know I'm a pain in the ass now by saying that, but really coming to fair judgment does require evidence that tell a story that cannot be refuted, and this only sends up a possible theory. Deleting your own images is not forbidden as far as I know, and when done on a large scale then yes, the numbers look strange, that's inevitable. The reasons may rise suspicion, but nothing more than that. A mere suspicion, nothing more, nothing less...
[deleted]
1 up, 5y
The numbers of users are responsible for many upvotes and the screenshot I used was from one of the deleted images.

He had several memes on his page before, but do you really think somebody can have that many point with only that many memes? BTW this is the only screenshot I have from the original post.
2 ups, 5y
I can't rule out he's a fraud, but since I've no mod status on IMGFLIP that's hard to figure out for me, but even then it doesn't prove about other accounts. In fact suspicious numbers are not irrefutable evidence. They can only be clues, but clues alone don't prove anything.

This evidence does confirm that people are doing the exact same things at the same rate.
"This evidence tells nothing at all, actually. It's a strange way of posting, and maybe I need more time to get the point of their memes, but numbers tell me nothing unless the full story behind them is revealed, and the memes tell me even less. All I have is some data that tell nothing at all and an accusation. Any lawyer worth more than a few cents may be able to tackle that down. And if he can't, then I don't want him as my lawyer should I ever need to have to appear in court... really!" He deleted most of his images and got bumped several times on random comments. Imgflip isn't a court of law, so I don't think it's fair to compare it if the Imgflip format limits what I can do on this site with evidence.
2 ups, 5y
Even so, a moderator for imgflip or any site/community for that matter (and I should know since I serve an indie game community as a moderator) should never ban or delete people without proper evidence of fraud. If you are wrong you'll bring shame over your community and it can lead to its rep getting permanently damaged and that can really be a community's undoing. And if you wonder why the guy you presented to me has not been banned, since I am not a mod here but elsewhere it would be unprofessional to judge my colleagues here, but I think I got the global idea, as this evidence tells nothing and not a valid story can be made out of it. So in a certain sense, yeah, a community *can* be compared to a court, with the big difference that the worst that can happen here is your account being deleted, which is in an actual court of course harsher punishment. It's not that I trust the account you showed me. In my personal opinion that account may need further inspection, but in my "professional" position, I really don't know, and must then give the benefit of the doubt. Judging accounts looks so easy, but I can assure you, it's quite often bloody hard. And I deem proper evidence holy. I did neglect this in my own work in the past, and I still feel remorse to this very day, as it did lead to wrong decisions.

What would you consider as solid evidence?
2 ups, 5y
Hard to answer, but this evidence can be interpreted in multiple ways, it neither confirms nor denies anything. Solid evidence is solid evidence when a clear conclusion can be drawn from it ruling out any kind of possibility an other theory may apply.

This evidence tells nothing at all, actually. And if he can't, then I don't want him as my lawyer should I ever need to have to appear in court... really!

I actually think a troll is a creature from agent Nordic folklore, and I believe I showed you a picture of a troll. If that picture depicted a Russian agent, I am worried about Russia.

What is true however is that (and I didn't make that up) Russian agents are being suspected by several authorities of acting like internet trolls in order to cause some political chaos and to exploit the weaknesses of democracy. Of course, I know what you're gonna say to that one... fake news, but that you don't know what "fake news" means does not make *me* stupid, so don't even try to go there.

And me super intelligent? Just because I've outsmarted YOU on countless occasions? I'd hardly call that an achievement, so don't flatter yourself!

One question? If you think it's best not to "bother with me", and if you are as intelligent as you think you are.... then why did you even come to this comment thread in the first place?

And it's not that I'm an idiot? It's just that you are stubborn and unwilling to listen. I told you before that I too was distrusting about many things when I was a teen and that the news and everything was one big conspiracy and that my own folks were being abused by their own government. It's just that I got older and LEARNED many things along the way, and that I had the privilege of meeting people of all kinds, and so I came realize I used to be an idiot. So you remind me of my former self of say, 30 or 38 years ago?

Now calm down, breathe, relax.... THINK and learn that the world problems more complex than you can imagine, and that simple solutions rarely exist, and ACCEPT IT! And that is hard. I know! I speak out of experience here! The world is not divided in people who agree with you for 100% and idiots, you know!

Well trolls and alts predate those news stories, so is it really copying?
2 ups, 5y,
1 reply
<sarcasm>REALLY? I NEVER FOUND OUT</sarcasm>, this meme however does not predate those news stories. It became big news since Trump's victory over Hillary Clinton and the results of the Brexit referendum are suspected to be caused by this kind of manipulation, but to be frank there were already smaller news issues on this matter many years before that. Of course it was not really taken seriously back then (and therefore just noted as "short news"), but that doesn't change the fact that this kind of news is old and pre-dating the moment that "anti-liberals" were copying the "liberals"... I quoted those words, as they are lately not used in the right meanings, either. And don't get me about fake accounts. I lost track of counting how many (confirmed) fake accounts I've seen on the internet before I even came to IMGFLIP (and likely even before IMGFLIP was founded).

You mean these Russian trolls?

Outsmarted me? You think repeating 'a wall won't work' with no supporting evidence and saying "THINK" means you've outsmarted me? When I debunked literally everything I've heard libtards come up with to bypass the wall you changed your argument to 'the wall won't work because we need to fix the problem at the source'.

You're an idiot. What's worse is you think you're so smart that all is little people are persecuting you. Your words.

No fool, it's called correcting you.
2 ups, 5y,
1 reply
I've already given you tons of supportive evidence, enough to THINK about, but I guess you've all trashed it, and now you even DARE to blame me for not providing stuff except for think? I misjudged you... I though you were more mature than that.

And I don't think I'm smart. I just gave matters a more clear thought. And you never corrected me, so it seems that you don't know the meaning of the verb "to correct". I really hope that I a non-native English speaking much give you lessons in English. You refuse to think beyond the border of the US and Mexico, and that's a pity, and that's where the solution is found. And in a lot of cases even beyond the entire country of Mexico. When it simply comes to migrants/refugees, all it takes to find the SOURCE of the problem is a bit of imagination in the minds of the people concerned. Why do they come to the US. Not because it's such a good country, because it's not. Simply because these people live in circumstances you can scarcely imagine. If you can aid these people on the places where they live, they won't come to the U.S. anymore, except for a very few. And that's also why the wall won't help. These people are so desperate that risking their lives is only a small price to pay. Hard to imagine, however that's the horrible truth. A truth everybody wants to look away from.
Now when it comes to that shot above, anyone can create such a shot, so can you take me to the site you got it from? Also even if that article is true, that doesn't prove Russian bots don't exist, it would only tell that the Democrats could be equally guilty of manipulation, as one fact does not automatically deny another.

See... You refuse to THINK, you take offense because I allow you to use your brain, so apparently I do think there is some cleverness in you, but that you simply refuse to use it. Nearly everything that happens has a cause and that cause is quite often the result of another cause. And one fact does not rule out another. It's not that I claim to be smart. It's just that I've learned to open my mind and not to look away from stuff, but to think further than the obvious. Simplicity can sometimes be good, but is quite often a grave sin.

Guy, you're about to take the title of "stupidest person on imgflip". It's a well known fact we've got a troll that runs as many accounts as he feels like creating.

You really ought to learn about things before you open your mouth about them.
2 ups, 5y,
1 reply
Sure, sure, sure... Listen up, I have experience with internet communities, as a matter of fact I currently work for one, so I too see fake accounts float around every day. Point is, on the site where I work I have access to the hidden evidence. Evidence first, then speak out, and my point is the same.... copying "idiots" in argumentation is what I see most, but if it is so "idiot" why copy their argumentation? I guess I get now how Melania's speech came from :P

And when "stupidest" comes from you I actually take it as a very great compliment as it takes a lot of wisdom to be deemed stupid by the likes of you.

So when it comes to learning things, how long do you think I've been on the internet?
