The working class in France are rioting because the rich elites are not being taxed fairly.

Wake up dummies. Stop buying into the GOP lies. This is their (albeit more aggressive) 99%/Occupy Movement. If you support it, you should support the same protests here against the 1%.

This meme has nothing to do with the GOP. The GOP like most of the Dems have sold their souls to large monetary interests. Their narrative is the people are rebelling against liberalism.

But the truth of the matter is, though some may have legitimate grievances and are thoughtful concerning their protests, there are powers who have secretly co-opted the movement and falsely pumped it up and among other things have inserted provocateurs to promote violence. Their goal is not that of the people but to do the exact opposite of your intent which is to further enrich and empower the oligarchical powers at the expense of the people.

Why people have a hard time understanding this is because not everyone is a bot or provocateur, nor can they see were all the money and media promotion is coming from.

Unfortunately these days it's very difficult to have a true revolution. The last one I believe that was sincere in Europe was in Greece and they eventually have to bow to the IMF anyway.

obviously it is not.
the yellow vest movement is as much about gas taxes as the American Revolution was about Tea taxes.

The IRA in Russia is known for fueling everything from trolls on social media and sites like this to fomenting trouble in countries. They may have had a hand in this, though what you said about the oil companies themselves on another meme makes sense. It only takes a small group of people acting up to incite others to follow.

Then again, this isn't new in France, who demonstrate en masse and riot for the littlest things. They even did it when EuroDisney opened (blocking highway traffic with trucks) and McDonald's.

Can you clarify what the IRA is in relation to Russian? When I hear IRA I think of Northern Ireland. And yes, there are many ways to foment and utilize protests till they become a faux revolution. This should not be a surprise. The CIA has been doing it for years in non western countries. This is one of the first times I've seen it in a westernized country, though controlled opposition occurs relatively frequently within western politics. But one of the key ways I think the protests were used is by inserting agent provocateurs who were many used to vandalize and commit acts of violence. I don't think Macron would have suspended the gas tax without such actions. They were sending him a message and he got it loud and *clear* pipped into his ear by the mass media. Sad thing is the gas tax would have made them draw further away from fossil fuels and towards more sustainable solutions including high technology which would have bolstered their economy, freed them from Large controlling monetary interests, and benefited the environment potentially saving us and many other species and early extinction.

This IRA I'm referring to is the International Research Agency, a Russian goverment propaganda organization that was behind the Facebook recruiting of the troll bots/shills in support of Trump. They also were behind the push for Brexit, and the Hungarian and other elections.
They may push for a certain agenda, but also recruit for all sides, not just Trump, right wing, etc, in order to foment division and civil strife. This whole right vs left and the rise of nationalism and xenophobia is largely the result of their work.

People are inherently selfish and prone to fear, easy to stoke that to manipulate them for things like what is happening in Paris.

Wow, someone who really gets it on Imgflip. That's awesome. Still what a sad reality we live in. I very much want to be one of the agents for change, but unfortunately even what seems to be revolutionary acts are gamed. We are controlled at our source, our minds. And it's only going to get worse, much worse, with bots, AIs, that already couple the government/industrial trolls, special interest activists, etc.

Sure a few people get it. But if the majority can't, it won't make a difference in the end... We'll still be headed for the same bleak trajectory.

I had read about a Soviet agency (forgot the name) that handled such disinformation campaigns for decades. It was still going years after the end of the USSR, but was neglected and feeble in its mission. Then Putin dusted it off and now Russia has invested heavily in it, taking advantage of the internet and refining techniques constantly, using highly skilled people.
Distabalizing other countries from within using their own citizens who are mostly unaware they are being used as proxy soldiers is far easier and more effective than trying to threaten them and use force from the outside.

Yes, and the funny thing is, they often air other countries dirty laundry to do it. They busted the DNC for insiderism and fraud. And in response instead of taking care of their dirty laundry all the DNC could say is Russia Russia Russia. Truth is both.

But to me this shows not only what can be done but has been happening for many years in many different ways from CIAs mockbird program to various industries using shills/trolls to sow disinformation to the public.

I know all about it, or at least enough to know we're in some serious $hit by the mere fact that it's ramping up parabolically, while most people either have no idea it exists or practice cognitive dissonance because the truth is just too terrible to face. To admit that most of what you believed to be true was a programmed lie is just too much to bear for most people. It's a real ego buster.

I can't believe they're even entertaining the thought of Hillary running in 2020. Trump got as many votes as Mitt Romney did in 2012. Trump only won because Clinton lost to herself. The DNC is why we are in this mess now.

Ahh, the good old CIA games.
I'm not one for conspiracies, but have you ever heard of the Laurel Canyon one? That the CIA basically invented Hippies and 1960s music to fizzle the anti-war movement and other social upheavels going on them? I've only skimmed it, but it sounds interesting.

People are addicted to the web, and the bubble it allows them to weave around themsleves and close off in is too easily manipulated. People are dating less, and even teen sex rates and pregnancy are going down because they'd rather be online than with each other. They don't even want to learn how to drive anymore. The echo chamber on sites like this offer people the belonging they seek minus the actual effort required IRL.

Concerning conspiracy some are true some are not (I.E. the CIA inventing hippies). Many however are dependent on the details as to their truth value. Regardless if you believe the IRA is manipulating things online for Pro Russian aims then you too believe in conspiracies.

Not sure about the hippies, but whe you realize that a whole scene spilled out of a total nowhere location, seems weird. But like I said, only skimmed it recently, hadn't gotten round to cross referencing it.

You can look up the IRA thing. That is verified fact, the reason Facebook has taken certain actions last 2 years.

Look at you discussion with Timber about plant sentience. I just nuked him.

Heard the report on NPR with my own two ears. Looked it up and found the scientist who was on I believe it was a dutch newscast presenting what he found. This information you have to dig for a bit as for something this Big to be hidden takes a continued... concerted effort.

That all said can you tell me up what is with not being able to comment at certain times. If you look at your response below I have no option to reply. There is only a flag button and that's it. That is why I've had to resort to replying to the previous comment.

"Verified" or not something can still be a conspiracy. Conspiracy does not equal unverified. For example do you know that nanothermites were found at the world trade center site from 9/11. Samples were taken and published in a double peer reviewed journal. And you know where I heard it, not on some dudes blog, but from a news report from NPR. There's terrible $hit that's real and long exhaustive in depth documentaries done on it that most people just can't seem to wrap their heads around because they consider anything outside their mental boxes to be "conspiracy" therefor in the realm of nutters and tin foil hat wearers.

Whatever, I'm not stuck on whatever other people believe. Truth is truth regardless of what the masses have been trained to think. I'm very grateful to be freed enough to see what many others are unwilling to. To be outside one's programming, not living on patterns of belief, is truly a great gift and impossible for one to understand unless one is living it.

I meant conspiracy theories, late, and I was rushing.

I Googled "nanothermites found at the World Trade Center site from 9/11 NPR" and found nothing from them, only that it too was an unsubstantiated theory.
