Horse and buggy carriage drivers -> Taxi drivers -> Uber drivers -> Driverless vehicles.. seems like the end of the line.
Robots might also to eventually change the driverless car's oil, transmission fluid, adjust tire pressure, etc.. putting more humans out of business. One other thing I hadn't considered is not only are more people being born, but the people alive are living longer. And it seems possibile that abortion could be outlawed further complicating things but moving on..
Well... they weren't born into a rich family, didn't have that great of a job, weren't able to sock away much, and got "downsized" out during the 2008 crash.
Food, water, non-freezing conditions, and somewhere to sleep I guess would be bare minimum needed to survive. As far as spending on frivolous items.. ya.. im aware of our consumerist society.
