SO youre against taxes for welfare. Without welfare sure you will live in a bigger house. except you wont be able to leave safely because the trash wont have a bit of food to keep them sustained
And the reason America doesnt look like that isnt because Americans are respectful. Have you been to history class? It is because of various other reasons. First world countries arent more respectful. Chinese are super respectful for everything they have. (not the govt but the people for sure.) We need welfare, or our poorest would get poorer until they are like the poor of the third world. Americans dont die of starvation. It is a community.

I dont think most people are too stupid. But some are. The reason our poorest live well is because of welfare. I agree that we should have a capitalism. But in a country with so much money, what is wrong with a safety net.

If unemployment runs out before you find a new job you'll need a different kind of insurance.. or theft.. whatever you want to call it.

I know people who have been in that situation and unfortunately they weren't able to eat your judgement, so they had to find other ways..

I think population expansion combined with automation will eventually f*** the vast majority of us. If/when they ever perfect driverless vehicles that alone will evaporate millions of jobs.. You think you're getting robbed now? Lol

Horse and buggy carriage drivers -> Taxi drivers -> Uber drivers -> Driverless vehicles.. seems like the end of the line.

Robots might also to eventually change the driverless car's oil, transmission fluid, adjust tire pressure, etc.. putting more humans out of business. One other thing I hadn't considered is not only are more people being born, but the people alive are living longer. And it seems possibile that abortion could be outlawed further complicating things but moving on..

Well... they weren't born into a rich family, didn't have that great of a job, weren't able to sock away much, and got "downsized" out during the 2008 crash.

Food, water, non-freezing conditions, and somewhere to sleep I guess would be bare minimum needed to survive. As far as spending on frivolous items.. ya.. im aware of our consumerist society.
