Don't be 100% sure on the "that won't change" part of your arguement. Too many people focus on whether or not homosexuality is natural/inherent rather than the fact that only consenting adults are involved. When you focus on whether or not it is a choice, rather than if anyone is hurt by the behavior, pedophilia becomes the next natural step. When the justification for homosexuality is "No one CHOOSES to be sexually attracted to the same sex" it becomes dangerously easy to extend that logic to "No one CHOOSES to be sexually attracted to children".
Now, fortunately, we as a society still know that children are children, and would be hurt by (even "consensual") sexual activity, but that is quickly changing.
We have are reaching a point where we are letting eight year old not only decide which gender to dress and behave as (which I approve of), but whether or not medical intervention (which can cause irreversible damage) is warranted. If we decide that an eight year old can make life changing medical decisions, is it a stretch to decide they are mature enough to make sexual decisions (consent) for themselves.
Society is moving towards treating children like adults, and letting them make adult decisions.
There is a move to lower the voting age to 16.
So don't assume that just because our society currently recognizes the need to protect children from their own naivete, that that will not change.
