Time to elaborate. This is Imgflip's politics section. Back in 2016, conversations and images were a bit more civil. Today, however, we have this. I mistakenly thought Solarian posted his own image, I will admit, but the rest of what I see here is cancer. Mainly ad hominem attacks and illogically built comparisons.

Fair points made. I will say, however, that I have tried to debate reasonably with some of the newer users here, and they just resort to name calling. I know that I called some political memes "cancer", and that it's not a very nice thing to come back with, but if the person I 'm debating with resorts to basic, shallow tactics, and I encounter more users acting the same, I think I've earned the right to call it a spreading disease.

Playing with the disrupters is fun.

Their purpose is to hijack social media sites, driving out other voices. Actual discussion is irrelevent. Reading from a script is what they do.

Some folks here are for discussion, sad when they get accused of being one of the drones.
But those are few, so might as well give the rest what they want. Get the trolls to troll themselves.

On occasion I have lashed at someone only to realize it was unwarranted, after which I made amends.
But for the most part it's a joke. Asked for sources to verify, only for them to respond that it's fake news. Typing a wall of facts, only to be diregarded because Trump's ego might suffer irreparable damage.

I like what you do, it's hilarious and drives your point more efficiently than earnest debates with the rabble rousing zagnuts here.
I try to be open to real discussion, but will toss in enough of a twist so that I can play them up on their own triggers if they go that way.
I don't quite lean the way I tend to seem, but it's difficult to say certain things when you have to worry about rabid mutant chihuahuas trying to high five you and adding their pickled urine Koolaid to the pie.

Thanks. I don't enjoy what I do... I tell myself I enjoy it, but I take a second look at it and see it merely exists to make fun of shallow-minded people.
I also don't lean the same way. Like I said, I mainly do what I do to put shallow-minds in shock.

What would you enjoy, if anything?

No matter what we post, it'll slip by in a few days to be forgotten. No one is convinced by anything, nothing changes, none of this matters. So a nice quick poke in the eye does as well or better that anything anyone else can whip up.
I wish I could do that, seeing as I tend to ramble on too much with useless details that won't be read..

If anything, I'd enjoy having a rational discussion again, like in the old days. It seems so rare now...

Not sure what this is about, but it is hilarious how those people keep saying "not all illegals are criminals."

"illegal" means they "broke" the law. The very fundamental being the "federal immigration law." By definition that makes them a criminal.

So yes, ALL illegals ARE in fact, criminals. This is undisputed fact, whichever way you look at it.

Not only did they break federal immigration law, these can easily be people who overstayed their visa or just came in illegally. But the ones who actually "work" here, are also breaking federal and state tax law.

Do you know what happens to YOU, a US citizen (I presume) if you are caught by the IRS for evading tax? I believe min of $100k fine and 5 yrs in jail. And it makes you a criminal.
