Thanks very much for the vote of confidence in free speech. I do fear that it seems to be a minority that still feels that free speech, no matter how vile it may seem, is worth protecting as is stated in the Constitution. But perhaps the ones shouting down conservative speakers at colleges, or who are getting in the faces of house and senate members at restaurants, or those who actually shoot and wound Republican congressmen playing baseball is a minority.
From my limited perspective those intolerant voices are the loudest voices, and ones that garner the press coverage. But if you are one who certainly stands up for free speech and free expression, I tip my hat to you and appreciate that you understand what free speech means.
