Never happened? Republicans have been taking a bigger slice of local governments through Gerrymandering. An unrepresentative bigger slice. And now, with the popular vote for the president going to the losing candidate, the presidency has taken that too. And since the last Democratic President who nominated a Justice saw no hearing for that nominee and The Federalist Society has selected the last two Justices through a president who lost popular vote by 3 million votes, the Supreme Court is more far right than any time in my memory. Unrepresentative more than ever probably. And politics has led to a number of nuclear options that prevent the minority from leveraging any power leading to the majority doing whatever they want with little or no compromise.

I can see why you feel that way but what is really happening is normal politics, once in office the winner attacks everything the last party did and works to hold power, the loser does exactly the same thing, except the work to get power back. That is why I am against an all powerful government, normally one party holds power for eight years and then it is payback time. The people will suffer until the next change. Pick any long serving member of congress, check their voting record. Normally you see flip flopping and in a lot of cases party jumping. No one in congress cares about votes, they can cheat to get those. It is and always was about power.

Both parties spin up the hate by claiming rights are threatened, they (the other side) wants your guns, they want to overturn Roe vs Wade, they want a wall. The Republicans built no wall, overturned nothing, nor will they, they will stall until they lose the house and claim the democrats voted against them. Obama did the same thing held all the power, changed nothing.

This is the first Administration ever to have sought to to attack not just everything the previous accomplished, but what has been accomplished in the last century as well by all other adminstrations of both parties.

Some legislation is passed as needed to rectify something from the previous, but never for the sake of petty revenge, let alone gutting or even tearing up laws, treaties, and the American way as provided by the Constitution.

I keep hear that but I have yet to see a single law that has been changed. Getting rid of unelected czars and replacing activist judges, I am all for that.

I defend no one, irrespective of their color, race, creed etc. There are plenty of white thugs (gangs, KKK etc) out there. I spent 13 years in Law Enforcement and I dealt with just as many white scumbags as black or hispanic. Stuff your restaurant!
