Although I see three actual reposts on the hot page of the "fun" section. Hopefully they'll get that fixed soon. I suppose it's a work in progress.

It makes me like the site more.. we'll see what happens..

The new submission system is fine. I'd prefer an opt-out option to filter out politics, reposts etc.

We should all just stay on the fun part, I make a political meme once a month maybe, we'll see how it goes...

It's maybe because I make a bit of everything. We've got "gaming" added today, are we going to have "school" and "flat earth" tomorrow? It may end up being like the "viral" tab and get binned - but I don't think so.

If I reposted anything in the past at least I would say, "saw this on facebook" or similar. I doubt this will improve the site but time will tell. JMO.

I'm just glad they are trying to do something about it...

It's kinda like they are dividing it up like reddit does, they have political meme places and regular meme places, places for long panel memes, dank memes, etc etc lol. It will only really work if they police it though and send say a repost to the repost thread when it is noticed. The default seems to be the fun one, so that one will probably get the most attention...

with one huge hurdle to overcome, there are not enough regular users to make it work

Making it easier for viewers to find what they are after is a good thing in the long run. It may take a little adjustment time, but I'm sure we will have our top political meme makers and top cat meme makers.. etc etc... it could be a really good thing...

I hear ya brotha, I noticed they are asking for mods, that means they plan to pay more attention to everything. I mean I said some pretty horrible shit about this site and the mods to people on here. I was upset to see something I loved fall apart and it seemed to me that the people who made it all possible to begin with didn't give a shit about me or anybody else who put their heart into making original stuff for their site.

I truly believe it is better for our viewers to not have to sort through reposts and memes that are upvoted due to the buddy system to find good original content. Some people on here like reposts and buddy memes, now they have a place and viewers can choose to go look at that if they want. That's a pretty damn smart way to try and make everybody happy and increase the amount of viewers that come here just for memes not to create anything. But their clicks on those pages earn ad money, now they even more types of pages to put ads on ;) I can't argue with that, it makes sense to me.

Yeah, it is something complained about a lot though. My hope is that having a page just for political memes, it may attract more intelligent people for you to interact with... fingers crossed..

or give the trolls one stop shopping :/

Such a relief not to see the troll brigade all over the front page. This site has become fun again!

I haven't had too much time to enjoy it yet, but I do think of it differently now, which is good, I have hope again lol.
